ON 7/22/18, AT APPROXIMATELY 0027 HRS, I, SGT. JEFF JOHNSON WAS DISPATCHED TO THE PUBLIC BOAT LANDING ON HIGHLINE RD FOR A REPORT OF A VEHICLE IN WINDEGO LAKE. DISPATCH ADVISED THERE WAS ONE OCCUPANT, AND SHE WAS OUT OF THE VEHICLE. UPON ARRIVAL, I LOCATED THE VEHICLE APPROXIMATELY 40 FEET FROM THE SHORE, FULLY IMMERSED IN THE LAKE. I COULD SEE THE HEADLIGHTS OF THE VEHICLE WERE STILL ON AND THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FACING SOUTHEAST. AFTER REQUESTING A TOW TRUCK, I RESPONDED TO THE ADDRESS OF THE REGISTERED OWNER, WHO HAD CALLED THE INCIDENT IN TO OUR DISPATCH. ONCE THERE, I SPOKE WITH THE DRIVER. SHE STATED THAT SHE WAS NORTHBOUND ON HIGHLINE RD AND DIDN'T REALIZE THAT THE ROAD CURVED. SHE ENDED UP DRIVING STRAIGHT, ONTO THE BOAT LANDING, THEN INTO THE LAKE. NO FURTHER INFORMATION.
