RESOLUTION TO AMEND SAWYER COUNTY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
WHEREAS,Wisconsin law permits Sawyer County(the"County")to adopt certain
zoning ordinances and amend its existing zoning ordinances, including amendments to
the County's official zoning map;
WHEREAS,the owner of real property Iocated at Village of Stone Lake_Outlots.
Outlot 6;S19,T39N,R09W,Parcel#026-194-00-0600;Tax ID#27260;11.91 total acres
Zoned Aqricultural One (A-1) Comm�rcial One (C-1) and Residential One (R-1). (the
"Property"),and as more fully described as set forth in Exhibit A,which is attached hereto
and incorporated herein,requested a rezoning of the Property's zoning designation from
Residential One(R-1 to Zone District Commercial One(C-1)approximately 1.23 acres
subject to the request.(the"Zoning Designation AmendmenY');
WHEREAS,the 5awyer County Zoning Committee(the"Zoning Committee°), at
its meeting on September 15, 2023, reviewed the proposed Zoning Designation
Amendment for the Property;
WHEREAS, the Zoning Committee voted to recommend approvalldenial of the
proposed Zoning Designation Amendment to the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors
("County Board");and
WHEREAS,the County Board determined, at its meeting on October 19, 2023,
that adopting/denying the proposed Zoning Designation Amendment for the Property is
warranted to protect the health,welfare and safety of its citizens.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the Sawyer County Board of
Supervisors approves/denies the following:
Amendment to Official Zoninq Map. The Property's zoning designation shall be
amended to Commercial One C-1 of the approximatelv 1.23 acres.
Additional Actions. The Sawyer County Department of Zoning and Conservation
Administrator(or his/her designee)shall take all necessary steps to ensure that
the amendment adopted herein is completed.
This Resolution is recommended for adoption/disapproval by the Sawyer County Board
of Supervisors at its meeting on October '19, 2023 by this Sawyer County Zoning
Committee on this September 15, 2023.

Notice is hereby given that on October 19, 2023 the Sawyer County Board of
Supervisors adopted the proposed Zoning Designation Amendment for the Property.
The Property's zoning designation shall be amended to of the following described real

Tax ID #27260; 11.91 total acres; Zoned Agricultural One (A-1), Commercial One (C-1)

Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may
commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of the
decision within 30 days after the date the decision was ratified by the County Board.

On September 15, 2023, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved your
application for a change of zone district on the following described real estate to wit:

Parcel #026-194-00-0600; Tax ID #27260; 11.91 total acres; Zoned Agricultural One (A-

The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in
zone district before it becomes final. This will be scheduled for the County Board
meeting on October 19, 2023, at 6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer
County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person(s)
jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action in the

Request: Purpose of request is to change the Residential One (R-1) to Commercial One (C-1) to
build an equipment and materials storage building. Approximately 1 .23 acres is subject to the
rezone request
Summary of Request & Project History with additional details:
The applicant(s) are requesting to rezone approximately 1 .23 acres of R-1 to G1 (see
attached map of parcel). The proposed rezone would result in conforming lot dimensional
requirements. The purpose of this request would then be to have a permitted use within the
commercial-one zone district.
This property currently contains approximately 2.33 acres of existing G1 zoned property
with a permitted commercial use currently occurring on that portion. The request is ultimately to
increase the amount of C-1 zoned land to add additional equipment and material storage buildings
within that area.
There are several properties with the Town of Sand Lake — Village of Stone Lake Sanitary
District that are currently zoned C-1 .
The future land use map for the Town of Sand Lake shows this area as Rural Residential.
As per the Town of Sand Lake Comprehensive Plan, "In some cases, the future category may be
different from existing land use or zoning classification or an anticipated shift in use. When and
whether these areas should be rezoned to be consistent with these provisions it is at the discretion
� of both the Town of Sand Lake and the Sawyer County Zoning Committee based on a mutually
agreed upon decision."

NOTICE OF TOWN MEETINGS AND ZONING COMMITTEE PUBLIC

The Sawyer County Zoning Committee will hold its Public Hearing on
September 15,2023. This Hearing will begin at 8:30 A.M.in the Sawyer
County Courthouse,10610 Main Street,Hayward,Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Town
meetings and Zoning Committee Public Hearing. Enclosed is virtual attendance
information.A lack of information about the application may result in an
unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to appear may also result in the denial
or tabling of the application and may result in additional fees.
If it is impossible for you or a representative to be present, please submit a
written statement directed to Ronald Buckholtz,Chairman of the Zoning
Committee addressed to this office.The statement should include your proposed
intentions or purpose of the request and a description of the general terrain and
surrounding development. Indicate how the proposal would not be contrary to the
public interest. Photographs of the property and surrounding area are
encouraged.
