Shoreland vegetative buffer:
The shoreline area is to be fully vegetated to a depth of 35 feet from the shore of any waterbody.The
exception is an access corridor of 30 feet within any 100 feet of shoreline. Indicate on the above
drawing the location of the access corridor. Owner's signature is required on the appropriate attached
Shoreland Protection Agreement. This permit cannot be issued without a signed Shoreland Protection
Agreement. If the 35 foot buffer is fully vegetative, sign the Shoreline Protection Agreement # 1.
If any part of the 35 foot buffer is not in compliance with vegetative requirements, sign the Shoreline
Protection Agreement #2 — Non -Intact.
Please submit a shoreline photo to verify buffer status.
Notice: Land Use Permits expire one year from issue date.

Project Description: Permit Request for 7933N Thunderpoint Road
This project entails building a crawl space under the current cabin (principle structure
with outline in bold lines on the attached drawing) with no change to the location or size
of the footprint nor to the imperuious area. Our plan is to proceed with this ,project in
May 2010. It will not add new living area to the cabin. There will be no change to the
number of rooms (two bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bath). The cabin is currently on
concrete block piers (pictures included). The end of the cabin toward the road has settled
over the years, resulting in slanting floors and walls that are out of plumb. The project
will raise the cabin off of the piers, dig out and remove the dirt from under the cabin,
followed by building of a foundation and crawl space, then re -setting the cabin on the
foundation. This is proposed in order to level and stabilize the cabin from further settling
and to allow more efficient heating as well as discourage small animals from entering the
cabin. The current height of the cabin above grade is 16 feet. This is a single level cabin
and at the end of the project it will continue to be well under 20 feet (estimated at 17 feet).

with the Mitigation Plan and Implementation Schedule approved by the Sawyer County Zoning Department.
