Dear Mr . Tibbetts :
On November 21 , 1991 , the Sawyer County Zoning Board of Appeals approved and de-
nied your application for a variance on the following described real estate to
W1C :
Part SE} of the NE� S 24 , T 40N, R 7W. Parcels . 4 . 4 and . 4 . 5 .
WD Vol 337 Records Pg 74 . Parcel size is 3 . 50 acres . Property
is zoned R-1 . Application is for to raise the existing 19 ' x
20 ' boathouse 16 inches high at a waterline setback of 10 feet
from the normal highwater mark of the Chippewa Flowage ; and
for the construction of a 6 ' x 19 ' entryway/storage addition on-
to the living quarters at a waterline setback of 30 feet from
the normal highwater mark of the Chippewa Flowage . Variance is
requested as Section 4 . 49 , Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance , pro-
hibits construction closer than 40 feet to the normal highwater
mark of a lake . Town Board has approved .
The Board of Appeals approved to raise the level of the building and install a
new door only . Denied the boathouse bottom extension and the addition.
Finding of Fact of the Board of Appeals : For approval- to a11ow for maintenance
without expanding nonconforming use . For denial- it is a self-created hardship ;
It is for the convenience of the owner ; It is damaging to the rights of others
and property values as applies to boathouses and is not due to special conditions
unique to the property .
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals
may commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review
the legality of this decision within 30 days after the date of this notice .

91-030 .
