Mr. Taylor had called the zoning office before he sent in the LUP.
According to the phone conversation with Karen, Taylor asked about a
grade level boardwalk between the house and the garage. He never
mentioned anything about a 304 square foot deck. TAylor contends he
was told the deck attached to the house , attached to the garage did
not have to meet the side yard setback of 30 ' . Robyn contends the
deck attached to the house attached to the garage must meet the
minimum side yard setbacks . The deck will be about 3 inches away
from the garage . Also the part of the deck in front of the house
will be about 2 feet off grade and the part of the deck near the
garage goes up to 6 feet off grade to connect with a side deck that
will connect to the lakeside deck which is over a walk-out basement.
The permit was issued upon the Taylors indicating the deck wil be 3
inches away from the garage and will not be connected to it.
