The soil test and proposed location of the septic system was also reviewed. According to the sketch of the location of the proposed septic system, it appears your dwelling constructed at 75 feet from the ordinary highwater mark will be encroaching into the setback for the alternate system. Please review the sketch enclosed. We believe the dwelling will need to be constructed at a waterline setback of 105 feet if the dwelling is a below grade foundation. The setback from a habitable slab is 15 feet from the drainfield. The deck may be 15 feet from the drainfield. If you wish to construct the dwelling at the 75 foot setback, a new soil test would be required to locate the septic system in another area of the property.
