As 1 told her,we began construcUon of our dwelling last fall but had some problems. '1'he contractor 1 hired got a late start and was not ready to begin building until early September. '1'he foundation hole was dug and the foundation framing was set into the hole. 1'hen it rained. We recorded 27 inches during the week. The hole never dried out, so this spring we consulted some architects and engineers who suggested building higher. We f111ed�n the hole and leveled the spot. '1'he intention is to build on a floating slab which we will try to pour this i'all. 'I'he general plan tor building locations and sizes remains the same. ln the meantime,we had constructed one of the out buildings(someone saw that since my tax bill went up). Jump river has excavated and brought cable to the building site, and a well has been dug. 1 have been lemporarily assignecl to work in Yhoenix and have not becn ablc to get to Hayward as otten as 1 would likc. However, the contractors 1 have hired will continue the work. Per my conversaUon with Karen this morning, she assured me the building pernut was still valid. 1 asked her to note the new address for any correspondence. Please feel tree to call with any quesUons.
