Dear Ms. Jaacks:
On Monday, March 13, 2000, I addressed a complaint that you have been, or are
intending on, using the second story of your garage for habitation.
Upon making an inspection of your property, I found that the complaint might be valid.
It was noted that the second story appears to be finished; a chandelier is visible from
the windows facing the lake and that you have skylights in the structure. Sanitary
permit 99-273 shows that a sewer line is to be hooked up from the garage ro the
exisring sewer.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the use of the garage's second story, for
the purpose stated above, is not a customary accessory use associated with either the
garage or the home and that this use shall not be permitted. While the garage itself is
considered to be an appropriate use, and while the second story of the garage may be
used for storage or other garage related activities, the use of the second story for your
intended purposes is not allowable.
In order to comply with what are considered to be customary accessory uses, a�y other
intended uses must not be completed or constructed.
