Dear Mr. and Mrs. Herlitzke:
I have enclosed the following documents with this letter:
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• "Court Decisions Regarding the Granting of Variances,"
• "Application for Variance - Additional Information," and a completed
• "Variance Application."
Please review the inspection report, read the summary on court decisions and complete
the request for additional information.
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance(s), you should review
the variance application for correctness, sign it, and return it to this office with a check in
the amount of$250.00 made out to the "Sawyer County Zoning Administration" by
Friday, May 7, 1999 for hearings in June 1999.
The "Application for Variance - Additional Information" must also be completely filled
out and returned with the Variance Application. Both documents together make up the
entire application that will be reviewed by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Failure
to retum both of the documents or failure to complete eitber document in its enrirety will
cause the variance application to be rejected by this office.
Your application will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing will held by
the Town of Edgewater at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 8, 1999. You should contact Martha
DeLong, C1erk, Town of Edgewater at (715) 354-3218 to confirm this date.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, June 15, 1999 in the Circuit Courtroom located in the Sawyer County
Courthouse. You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing
conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant
the variance, the decision of the Town of Edgewater is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance(s) that you
have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the
Board.

Commencing at an iron pipe at the Northeast corner of said
Lot 6; thence North T5° 26' 18" West on the Northerly line of
said Lot 6 a distance of 103. 37 feet to an iron bar set being the
point of beginning; thence South 21° 53' 03" West 100.82 feet to
an iron bar set on the Southerly line of said Lot 6; thence North
75° 26 ' 18" West 146.59 feet to an iron pipe set on a meander
line of Chetac Lake; thence North 33° 09 ' 38" East on said
meander line 105.51 feet to an iron pipe set on the Northerly
line of said Lot 6; thence South 75° 26' 18" East 125.85 feet to
