Application
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Greis:
I have enclosed the following documents with this letter:
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• "Court Decisions Regarding the Granting of Variances,"
• "Application for Variance - Additional Informatior.," and a completed
• "Variance Application."
Please review the inspection report, read the summary on court decisions and complete
the request for additional information.
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance(s), you should review
the variance application for correctness, sign it, and return it to this office with a check in
the amount of $250.00 made out to the "Sawyer County Zoning Administration" by
Friday, August 6, 1999 for hearings in September 1999.
The "Application for Variance - Additional Information" must also be completely filled
out and returned with the Variance Application. Both documents together make up the
entire application that will be reviewed by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Failure
to return both of the documents or failure to complete either document in its entirety will
cause the variance application to be rejected by this office.
Your application will be reviewed at both Town and County public hearings. The Town
of Winter will hold two hearings in September (Wednesday, September 15` and
Wednesday, September 15�''). You should contact Arlene Bishop, Clerk/Treasurer, Town
of Winter at (715) 266-3131 to confirm the date at which your application will be
reviewed. Mrs. Bishop may be reached at this telephone number from 10:00 A.M. to
Noon, Monday — Wednesday.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, September 21, 1999 in the Circuit Courtroom located in the Sawyer County
Courthouse. You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing
conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant
the variance, the decision of the Town of Winter is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance(s) that you
have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the
Board.
Please contact Mrs. Kitty Taylor if you have any questions. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. to
4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
