As you know, the required roadway setback for the proposed garage is 63' from the centerline•of Badger Bay Lane; however, you desire to construct the garage 42' from the centerline. Therefore, the prior approval of a variance application by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals is required before construction can begin. I have enclosed a completed "Variance Application." Please review the application, and if conect, sign it and return it to this office. Your "Variance Application" will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing will be held by the Town of Edgewater at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, 08 October 1996. You should reconfirm this date with the Town of Edgewater Clerk, Martha DeLong Tei: (715) 354-3218. The second hearing will be held by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, 15 October 1996 in the Circuit Courtroom located in the Sawyer County Courthouse. You, or your representative, should attend each hearing, especially the hearing conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant the variance, the opinion of the Town of Edgewater is advisory only. It is �}_our responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to �rant the variance that you have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e., photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the Board. It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of information about the situation may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to appear may also re- sult in the denial of the application. If it is impossible for a representative to be present, please submit a written statement to this office directed to Arvid A.
