On February 20, 1996, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved your application
for a variance on the following described real estate to wit:
Unit 1, Musky Haven Condominium S 8, T 40N, R 7W. Parcel -3.1.
CD Vol 353 Records Pg 510 and Condo P1at Vol 1 Pg 71. Parcel
size is .40 acres. Property is zoned Residential/Recreational Two.
Application was for the construction of a basement under an existing
dwelling at a waterline setback of 38'7" from the normal highwater
mark of Crane Lake. Variance was requested as Section 4.49 (1), Sawyer
County Zoning Ordinance, would require a minimum setback of 75 feet
from the normal highwater mark of the lake. Town Board approved.
The Board of Appeals approved the application as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be a self-created hardship.
There would be no change in the use in the zone district. It would be due
to special conditions unique to the property.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals
may commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review
the legality of this decision within 30 days after the date of this notice.
In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please refer to Variance
96-004.

Hearing before the Sawyer County Zoning Board of Appeals on
Tuesday, February 20, 1996
This hearing wi11 begin at 7: 00 PM in the Sawyer County
Courthouse , 406 Main, Hayward, Wisconsin.
It is recocmnended that either you or a representative be present at
the Hearing . A lack of information about the situation may result
in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to appear may also re-
sult in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative to be present, please
submit a written statement to this office directed to Arvid H.
Va11em, Chairman of the Board of Appeals . This statement should
include a description of the general terrain; surrounding
development; your proposed intentions ; and the purpose of the
request . Photographs of the property and/or buildings are
requested. Explain the undue zoning hardship inflicted upon the
owner by conforming to the required minimum regulation which induced
the variance request. Convenience and financial loss or gain does
not constitute zoning hardship .
