Dear Mr. Madden:
On January 16, 1996, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved your application
for a variance on the following described real estate to wit:
Lots 1-6, Block 2, LaSalle, Kankakee, Streator Beach Subdivision
being in S 20, T 41N, R 7W. Parcels -1.2.2 thru -6. WD Vol 361
Records Pg 236. Parcel size is .41 acres. Property is zoned RR-
1. Application was for the construction of a 9' x 15' deck onto
an existing dwelling at a waterline setback of 63 feet and a change
of roof line which will result in a waterline setback of 60 feet
to the new eave line. Also for the installation of a bay window
beneath the roof overhang. Variance was requested as Section 4.49
(2), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a waterline setback
of 75 feet as an average waterline setback less than 75 feet is not
available. Town Board approved.
The Board of Appeals approved the application as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be the basis of economic
gain or loss. There would be no change in the use in the zone district. It
would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals
may commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review
the legality of this decision within 30 days after the date of this notice.
In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please refer to Variance
96-003.

This hearing will begin at 7:00 PM in the Sawyer County Courthouse,
406 Main, Aayward, Wisconsin.

If it is impossible for a representative to be present, please submit
a written statement to this office directed to Arvid H. Vallem, Chairman
of the Board of Appeals. This statement should include a description
of the general terrain; surrounding development; your proposed intentions;
and the purpose of the request. Photographs of the property and/or
buildings are requested. Explain the undue zoning hardship inflicted
upon the owner by conforming to the required minimum regulation which
induced the variance request. Convenience and financial loss or
gain does not constitute zoning hardship.
