On January 15, 2002, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved your application for vari-
ance on the following described real estate to wit:
Part of Govt Lot 4, S 36, T 41N, R 8W, Parcel :4.13. Vol 345 Records Page 70.
1 .78 acres. Property is zoned Residential/Recreational One. Application is for the
construction of an 8'x20' chain link fence enclosure for a 3,000 gallon above
ground fuel storage tank, at a setback distance of 15' from the right-of-way (60'
from the centerline) of County Trunk Highway B. Variance is requested as Section
4.21(2), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a setback distance of 42'
from the right-of-way (87' from the centerline) of the highway. The Town Board
has approved the application.
The Board of Appeals approved the application as follows: Construction approved and deadline
of July l, 2002 to move existing tank.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be a self-created hardship. There would be
no change in the use in the zone district. It would not be damaging to the rights of others or prop-
erty values. It would be due to special conditions unique to the property.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals may commence
an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within
30 days after the date of this notice. In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please
refer to Variance 02-001.

I have enclosed the following documents with this letter:
• Inspection Report and a completed
• Variance Application
You should review the variance application for correctness, sign it, and return it to this
office with a check in the amount of$250.00 made out to the "Sawyer County Zoning
Administratiori' by Friday, December 7, 2001 for hearings in January 2002.
Your application will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing will held by
the Town of Hayward at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 8, 2002. You should contact Jodi
Longtine, Clerk, Town of Hayward, at (715) 634-4123 (office) to confirm this date.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, January 15, 200? in the large courtroom located in the Sawyer County
Courthouse. You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing
conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant
the variance, the decision of the Town of Hayward is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the vaziance that you
have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the
Board.
