On May 17, 2002, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee denied your application for
change of zone district on the following described real estate to wit:
Part of Big Timber Island, being Part of Govt Lot 6, S 29, T 40N, R 6W,
Part of Parcel :6.1. Vol 641 Records Page 301. 10.2 acres to be rezoned
out of the total 47 acres. Change from District Forestry One to District
Residential/Recreational One. Purpose of request is the development of
residential lots A Conditional Use application has been made far the
purpose of mainland access by Roger Burger et al: Part of the NW '/4 NE
'/4, S 9, T 40N, R 6W, Part of Parcel .2.2 and Parcel .24. Vol 502 Records
Page 139, Vol 535 Records Page 237. Approximately 2.75 acres, zoned
Residential/Recreational One. The Town Board has denied the rezone and
conditional use permit applications with additional comments.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee denied both applications as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Zoning Committee: It would not be compatible with the
surrounding uses and the area.
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the denial of the change in zone
district before it becomes final. This will be scheduled for the County Board meeting on
June 20, 2002, 7:00 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person or
persons jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action
in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of the decision within 30
days after the date the decision is ratified by the County Board.

TO BETTER CLARIFY THESE TWO APPLICATIONS:
The Burgers and Waltons own property on the mainland of the Chippewa Flowage.
The Meyers own a portion of Big Timber Island. The Meyers want to create 6 lots on
the island for residential use. In order for the Meyers to do so,they are purchasing the
3 lots from the Burgers/Waltons. They need to have 3 mainland lots for the 6 lots on
the island.
