On October 21, 2003, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved with conditions your ap-
plication for variance on the following described real estate to wit:

Application is for the construction of a 26'x40' (including eaves) replacement dwelling
with a 12'x24' concrete patio, all at a setback distance of 6' from a side lot line and on a
lot with an average lot width of approximately 60'. Variance is requested as Section 18.4,
Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a minimum side lot line setback of 10'
and Section 4.25(4)would require a minimum average lot width of 100'. The Town Board
has approved the application.
The S awyer County Board of Appeals approved the application as follows: Culvert to be in-
stalled on property to control backup; structure over well to be removed.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be the basis of economic gain or loss. It
would not be a self-created hardship (side lot line setbacks). It would not be damaging to the
rights of others or property values. It would be due to special conditions unique to the property
(lot width).
Any person ar persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals may commence
an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within
30 days after the date of this notice. In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please
refer to Variance 03-033.

Dear Mr.Snyder:
I have enclosed the following documents with this letter.
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• "Court Decisions Regarding the Granting of Variances,"
• "Application for Vaziance-Additional Information,"
• a copy of the Sawyer County Boaxd of Appeals Conclusions of Law Form(This is the
form that the Board members will use to determine if youx situation meets the
requirements for the granting of the variance that you have requested.)and a
• completed"Variance Application."
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance you should review the
application for correctness. If conect,sign the application and return it to this office with
a check in the amount of$250.00 made out to the"Sawyer County Zoning
Administration"by Friday,September 5,2003 for hearings in October 2003.
The"Application for Variance-Additional Information"must also be filled out and
returned with the Variance Application.Both documents together make up the entire
application that will be reviewed by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals.Failure to
return both of the documents or failure to complete either document in its entirety will
cause the variance application to be rejected by this office.
Your application will be reviewed at two public hearings.Tbe first hearing will held by
the Town of Sand Lake at 730 P.M.,Tuesday,October 14,2003.You should contact
Elaine Nyberg,Town of Sand Lake Clerk,at(715)865-2486(home)to confirm this date.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, October 21, 2003 in the large courtroom IocaYed in the Sawyer County
Courthouse. You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing
conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Boazd of Appeals can grant
the variance, the decision of thc Town of Sand Lake is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance that you
have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the
Board.

4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
