zoned ResidentiaVRecreational Two. Application is for the construction of a 12'x 16'(13'x
18'with eaves)addition onto an existing dwelling at a setback distance of 44'to the center-
line of Oak Street(a Town road).Application is requested as Section 4.21(3),Sawyer County
Zoning Ordinance,would requ've a minimum setback distance of 63'to the centerline of this
road. Application was amended to iuclude a covered deck and a time limit of one(1)
year to complete constructioo.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be damaging to the rights of others or
property values;there would be no change in the use in the zone district.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Boazd of Appeals may commence
an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within
30 days after the date of this notice.

Dear Mr. Jeglum:
I have enclosed the following documents with this letter.
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• Board of Appeals Conclusions of Law Form(This is the form that the Board members
will use to detertnine if your situation meets the requirements for the granting of the
variance that you have requested.) and a
• completed "Variance Application."
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variar�ce you should review the
inspection report and application for correctness. If conect, sign the application and
return it to this office with a check in the amount of$250.00 made out to the "Sawyer
County Zoning Administration"by Friday, June 3, 2005 for hearings in July 2005.
The "Variance Application"will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing
will be held by the Town of Bass Lake at 6:30 P.M., Monday, July 11, 2005. You should
contact Shirley A. Miller, Town of Bass Lake Clerk, at(715) 634-8469 (Town Hall)to
confirm this date. It is very important that you contact Mrs. Miller as soon as possible, as
the Town of Bass Lake may require that you attend a meeting of the Town's Planning
Commission prior to your appearance before the Town Board.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, July 19, 2005 in the large Courtroom located in the Sawyer County Courthouse.
You or your agent should attend each hearing, especially the hearing conducted by the
Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant the variance, the
decision of the Town of Bass Lake is advisory only.
It is your responsibiiity to convince the Boarci of Appeals to grant the variance tnat nas
been requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present the facts to the
Board. • .
At its October 2002 public hearing,the Board members decided to apply expiration dates
to future variances. You should be prepared to discuss this issue with the Board (i.e.,
proposed date that construction would begin, any anticipated construction delays that may
be caused by the availability of contractors, excavators etc.).
