The purpose of this letter is to inform you that the Sawyer County Zoning Committee's
October 21, 2005 approval for the creation of the campground expired on October 21,
2006. Two letters were written to you(October 25, 2005 and October 16, 2006 copies
attached) informing you of the approval expiration date.

Dear Mr. Johnson,
We would like to remind you that your conditional use approval for the location/
operation of a campground on the above-described property will expire on October 21,
2006.
Please complete and submit the enclosed application for permit and the permit fee of$50
as soon as possible. The application for use should include a drawing of the layout
including any structures you will build and description of areas you will use.
If applications are not returned by October 21, 2006, it will be necessary to go through
the public hearing process again. The Sawyer County Zoning Office can issue citations,
including fines, if you operate the business without the proper permits. If you have
decided not to proceed with this project after all,please let us know.

Notice is hereby given that on October 21, 2005 the Sawyer County Zoning Committee
approved in part and with conditions the following application:
Summit Lake Game Farm Inc. Town of Edgewater and Town of Sand Lake —
Summit Lake Game Farm Inc. Part of the N'/2 of the NE'/4, S 23, T 38N, R 9W,
part of Parcel .1.1 lying west of Summit Lake Road and Parcel .2.1 all in the
Town of Edgewater, also part of Gov't lots 3 & 4, S 14, T 38N, R 9W; Parcels
:3.1 and :4.1 in the Town of Sand Lake. Volume 525 Records page 9.
Approximately 100 acres totaL Change from District Agricultural One
(Edgewater), District Forestry One and Residential/Recreational One (Sand Lake)
to District Residential/Recreational Two. Purpose of request is for the
location/operation of a campground with lavatory and shower facilities. A
Conditional Use Permit is also being applied for contingent upon the rezone
approval, for part of the N'/2 of the NE'/4, S 23, and part of the NW'/4 NWI/4, S 24,
T 38N, R 9W; Parcels .l.l and .2.1 in Section 23 and .6.2 in S 24, Town of
Edgewater; also part of Gov't lots 3 & 4, S 14, T 38N, R 9W; Parcels :3.1 and
:4.1 Town of Sand Lake. Permit is desired for the location/operation of a
campground with lavatory and shower facilities (in RR-2) and a motocross track
(in A-1). The Town of Sand Lake has approved the applications. The Town of
Edgewater has denied the applications. The Zoning Committee previously
approved the rezone in Sand Lake. At the July Public Hearing, the Zoning
Committee tabled their decision to allow the applicant time to collect additional
information and return to the Zoning Committee on October 21, 2005. It was
understood by the Zoning Committee and the applicant that if the applicant was
not prepared by this date, the application will be withdrawn.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the application for a campground on 10
acres in Sand Lake for up to 25 sites and in the Town of Edgewater for up to 15 sites with
the conditions that the patrons are prohibited from using motorized watercraft on Summit
Lake and that the applicant return to the Zoning Committee with the campground plan for
approval. The Zoning Committee denied the application for a motocross track.

Findings of Fact for Sand Lake campground approval: It would not create an air quality,
water supply, or pollution problem. It would not destroy prime agricultural lands. It is in
agreement with the Town of Sand Lake comprehensive plan.
Findings of Fact for motocross denial: It would not be compatible with surrounding uses
and the area. It would create traffic or highway access problems. It would be detrimental
to ecology, wildlife, wetlands or shorelands. It would be against the Town of Edgewater
comprehensive plan.
Findings of Fact for Edgewater campground approval: It would be compatible with
surrounding uses and the area.
The approval of the conditional use will expire on October 21, 2006, if application for the
actual permit to use/construct is not made by that date.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by the decision of the Zoning Committee may
commence an action with the Sawyer County Board of Appeals to review the decision in
whole or in part, within thirty (30) days after the filing of the decision in the office of the
Committee.

Notice is hereby given that on April 15, 2005, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee tabled the
following application:
Summit Lake Game Farm. Part of the N% of the NE'/4, S 23, T 38N, R 9W, Part of Parcel
. Ll, lying west of Summit Lake Road and Parcel .2.1, all in the Town of Edgewater; also
Part of Govt Lots 3 & 4, S 14, T 38N, R 9W, Parcels :3.1 and :4. 1 in the Town of Sand Lake.
Vol 525 Records Page 9. Approximately 100 acres total. Change from District Forestry One
and Residential/Recreational One to District Residential/Recreational Two. Purpose of
request is for the location/operation of a campground with lavatory and shower facilities. A
Conditional Use Permit is also being applied for contingent upon the rezone approval, for

public hearing, at 1:00 PM in the Sawyer County Courthouse.

Dear Mr. Johnson:
Your application for a Change in Zone District and Conditional Use will be considered at
a Public Hearing befare the Sawyer County Zoning Committee on
April 15, 2005
This Hearing will begin at 9:00 A.M. in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main
Street, Hayward, Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of
information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure
to appear may also result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative be present, please submit a written statement in care
of this office directed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee. This
statement should include your proposed intentions, the purpose of the request, and a
description of the general terrain and surrounding development. Photographs of the
property and/or buildings would be beneficial. Indicate the undue hardship inflicted upon
the owner by conforming to the present zone district and the compatibility of the
proposed use with the surrounding land uses. Convenience and financial loss or gain do
not constitute zoning hardship.
Your application will come before the Town Board for their review. Please contact
