It xill be located in northxestern Wisconsin near the town of Coudezay. The arc�as� ideal summer skating clima.te, with average daytime tQmperatures 'between 70F` and 80I+� d�egrees ,ocupled xith cool evenin� and nights f�r sleeping ma,ke it perfectly suited for a summer training siteo La.ser also hopes to draw top names from the world of speed skating to coa.ch and hold clinics for younger 2ess experienced skaters , If possible, Four or more sanctioned invitational outdoor meets wi.11 be held annually. Zt is proba.ble that these meets will draw skaters from around the world. With the �ld speed skati.ng competition being held in Belgium in August of this yeax our paxk has tremendous potential for �vr xorld skaters as a training site. Brad Brandner, of the Laser Skate Company, Couderay, WI, has received from USAC/RS a copy of the blueprints used for construction of an official 200m baN:ed track, and he says he's definitely going to use the�n. Brad has the land already, and intends to build both the 200m track and a 1000m closed circuit road course, which he'� calling the °Le Mans" course. Couderay is located in northwestern Wisconsin--near Hay�.rard if you can't find Couderay in your atlas--in a prime area for hiking, campirtg, and fishing. To accomodate skaters who wish to train on the track and road course, Brad has planned for the Couderay facility to have camper-trailer hook-ups, so skaters can skate while family members take advantage of Wisconsin's other outdoor sports and recreation activities.
