Dear Mr. Platt,
On July 21, 2006, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee denied your application for change of
zone district on the following described real estate to wit:
Part of Govt Lots 3 & 4, S 23, T 40N, R 8W; Part of Parcels :3.1 and :4.1. Vol 244
Records Page 171, Vol 358 Records Page 483. Approximately 40 acres to be rezoned out
of the total 92.31 acres. Change from Forestry One to District Residential/Recreational
One. Purpose of request is for the development of residential lots, meeting the lake Class
#3 dimensional requirements. The Town Board has denied the application.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee denied the application as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Zoning Committee: It would be detrimental to ecology, wild life,
wetlands or shorelands. The Zoning Committee supports Town of Hayward and LCO Tribal
Government concerns
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the denial of the change in zone district
before it becomes final. This will be scheduled far the County Board meeting on August 17,
2006, 6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person or persons
jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action with the Sawyer
County Board of Appeals to review the decision in whole or in part, within thirty (30) days after
the filing of the decision in the office of the Committee.

Your application for a Change in Zone District will be considered at a Public Hearing
before the Sawyer County Zoning Committee on:Friday,July 21,2006
This Hearing will begn at 9:00 A.M. in the Sawyer Counry Courthouse, 10610 Main
Street,Hayward,Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing.A lack of
information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to
appeaz may also result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative be present,please submit a written statement in care
of this office directed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee. This
statement should include your proposed intentions, the purpose of the request, and a
description of the general terrain and surrounding development. Photographs of the
property and/or buildings would be beneficial. Indicate the undue hazdship inflicted upon
the owner by conforming to the present zone district and the compatibility of the proposed
use with the sunounding land uses. Convenience and financial loss or gain does not
constitute zoning hardship.
Your application will come before the Town Board for their review. Some
townships also have a Planning Commission.Please contact the Town Clerk,Arlene

Commission and Town Board meetings for your attendance or the attendance of
your agent.
