On February 17, 2006, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved your application for
change of zone district on the following described real estate to wit:

Page 455; CSM Vol 16 Page 22. 7.25 acres total. Change from District
Residential/Recreational One to District Agricultural Two. Purpose of request is to raise a
market garden and small animals. The Town Board has approved the application.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the rezone application as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Zoning Committee: It would not be damaging to the rights of others or
property values. It would not be detrimental to ecology, wildlife, wetlands or shorelands. It
would not destroy prime agricultural lands. It would be compatible with surrounding uses and the
area.
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in zone district
before it becomes final. This will be schedulcd for the County Board meeting on March 16,
2006, 6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisars. Any person or persons
jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action with the Sawyer
County Board of Appeals to review the decision in whole or in part, within thirty (30) days after
the filing of the decision in the office of the Committee.

Deaz Supervisors,
We are writing in response to fhe Sawyer County Zoning Committee's denial of our change of
zone district. We had notified our Lenroot Town Clerk , Carol Stone, that we could not
address tivs until December, as we have had some unexpected out-of-state family bealth issues
Yhat needed our immediate attention. Mrs. Stone indicated that our request posed no difiiculry
in attaining our review at a later date. It is our understanding that zoning reviews are first
dealt with by the Town government before reaching the County level.
After speaking witb the Zoning Administrator, Bill Christmazi, we were infom�ed that some
communication should have been zeceived &om Lenroot Township so our request could have
been tabled. Therefore, we request that this Board deny the ratification of the decision. Mr.
Christman also mentioned that there aze many avenues of exception, and we would like all
consideration in this regazd.
Also worth mentioning, a lctter was sent via e-mail on the moming of October 17`h to Mr. Jim
� Bassett explainin�n our situataon and our requcst for a December review.

Section 59.69 (5) (e), Wisconsin Statutes, notice thereof having been given as provided by law and being
duly informed of the facts pertinent to the proposed changes, hereby recommends that the petition
described as follows be denied.

would not be compatible with surrounding uses and the area. No one to represent.
Zoning Committee Chairman James Bassett presented a letter from Daniel and Margaret Krause
requesting that the County Board not approve the Zoning Committee recommendation to deny their
petition. The letter indicated that they had been unable to attend the Town of Lenroot Board meeting
due to unexpected out-of-state family health issues and that they had been assured that a decision of the
Town of Lenroot Board could be delayed to allow their attendance when their petition was presented.
Motion by Vitcenda, 2nd by Mizerka, to table consideration of the matter. Motion carried.

WHEREAS, the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors has heretofore been petitioned to amend the
Sawyer County Zone District Maps; and
WHEREAS, the petitions have been referred to the Sawyer County Zoning Committee for public
hearings; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Committee, on due notice, conducted a public hearing on the proposed
amendments and filed their recommendations with the Board; and
WHEREAS, this Board has the legal authority to amend zone districts pursuant to Section 59.69 (5)
(e), Wisconsin Statutes.

Deaz Mr. and Mrs. Krause:
Your application for a Change in Zone District will be considered at a Public Hearing
before the Sawyer County Zoning Committee on Friday, February 17, 2006.
This Hearing will begin at 9:00 A.M. in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main
Street, Haywazd, Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a represe�tative be present at the Hearing. A lack of
information about the application may result in onnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to
appear may also result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative be present, please submit a written statement in care
of this office directed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee. This
statement should include your proposed intentions, the purpose of the request, and a
description of the general terrain and sunounding development. Photographs of the
property and/or buildings would be beneficial. Indicate the undue hardship inflicted upon
