excepting therefrom the wetlands as indicated on the Wetland Inventory Map, Part
of Parcel :2.1 . Vol 769 Records Page 113. Approx. 4.28 acres to be rezoned out of

The rezone was approved with the removal of the east 60' from the application and to be

On April 20, 2007, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved with conditions your
application for change of zone district on the following described real estate to wit:
Part of Govt Lot 2, S 32, T 40N, R SW, lying north of Barker Lake Road, excepting therefrom
the wetlands as indicated on the Wetland Inventory Map, being Part of Parcel :2.1. Vol 769
Records Page ll3. Approximate parcel size is 255'/575'x450' containing approximately 4.28
acres to be rezoned out of the total 57.5 acres. Change from District Wetland One to District
Residential/Recreational Two. Purpose of request is to bring said property into compliance with
the existing residential use and to create an additional lot for the construction of a single family
dwelling. The Town Board has approved.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the application as follows: Remove the east 60 feet of
proposed lot 2 from the rezone request; the purposes of the request become conditions of the rezone. (To
bring the property into compliance with the existing residential use and to create an additional lot for the
construction of a single family dwelling.)
Findings of Fact It would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values. It would not be
detrimental to ecology, wildlife, wetlands or shorelands. The DNR has been involved and was present on
the property.
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in zone district
before it becomes final. This will be scheduled far the County Board meeting on May 17, 2007,
6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person or persons
jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action with the Sawyer
County Board of Appeals to review the decision in whole or in part, within thirty (30) days after
the filing of the decision in the office of the Committee.

Bill , I ' ll get my specific comments on the Osprey Lake proposal to you .
I ' m tentatively scheduled on a Plum Creek project on Friday . Two others that will be
heard on Friday though;
Wagner - this is the site that you and I walked on Barker Lake . I have no problem with
the proposal and it makes sense . Wagner has enough room to make the additional lot
without having to get a variance and he can meet the setbacks . The wetland on the east
side of the lot is clearly evident and an abrupt change from upland to wetland . It has a
pretty straightforward edge running north/south .
Secluded Land - Chippewa River . How do they plan on accessing the lots off of Dorcheid
Rd? It appears that the drawn in road on the zoning submittal crosses a perennial stream
that runs along Dorcheid . I have no problem with the 9 river lots ( assuming they meet
zoning criteria ) .
Lots 11 , 12 and 13 would have no river access , correct? I wonder about lot 10 and 11
also . The aerial photo shows wetland characteristics along the unnamed stream that may
impact the use development of lot 10 and 11 . I would ask that a wetland delineation be
done along this stream corridor and river edge to ensure that the lots are meeting
setbacks and are, in fact , able to be developed .

Kathy McCoy tells me that you attended the Town of Round Lake Town Board meeting when they
addressed this 25 unit condominium project . Was there any discussion about : ( 1 ) the
number of boat slips that could be created
- possibly 25 ? or, ( 2 ) is there any "legal " way (e . g . , walkways , actually create channels
for access to the lake etc . ) that the open water could be accessed across the bog . My
impression is that the bog is really old lake bed. Are there any DNR issues with the
proposal that the Committee should be aware of? The Town Board has requested that that
this matter be tabled .
Usually the Committee will honor these requests . So I am not sure how much action the
Committee will be taking on this on Friday . By the way, Friday ' s hearing is at the Ram<�da
should you decide to pay us a visit .

Yesterday, Dave Kafura, DNR Water Management Specialist, and I visited your property.
The purpose of the visit was to determine if the DNR would have any objections to the
change of zone district that you have requested—Wetland One to
Residential/Recreational One.
In the process of ineasuring the width of proposed lot#2 (260' in width) we determined

This would still allow for a legal lot(minimum lot requirements of 150' in width x 200'
in depth= 30,000 sq/ft) with a buildable area. This is the recommendation that will be
made to the Sawyer County Zoning Committee.
I have attached a copy of your proposed lots with lot#2 redrawn at 200' in width. Please

copy attached. At thc time we did not havc any plans for his ccview aften c� explained
some of the ordnances. You will find attached copies of the overall layout of thc
buildings on the west side of our property, changes/additions to the hou.ce, garage, shop
and othcr buildings, al] changes;uid addiiions are shaded. Before we go through requests
for quotes wc need to complete a few tbings.

AMENDING SAWYER COUNTY ZONE DISTRICT MAPS
WHEREAS, the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors has heretofore been petitioned to
amend the Sawyer County Zone District Maps; and
WHEREAS, the petitions have been referred to the Sawyer County Zoning Committee
for public hearings; and
WHEREAS, the Zoning Committee, on due notice, conducted a public hearing on the
proposed amendments and filed their recommendations with the Board; and
WHEREAS, this Board has the legal authority to amend zone districts pursuant to
Section 59.69 (5) (e), Wisconsin Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Sawyer County Zone District
Maps, adopted March l, 1971, be and the same are hereby amended as follows:
TOWN OF HAYWARD
1) Robert J. Weijk et ux. Part of the SW 1/4 SW 1/4, S 27, T 41N, R 8W; Part of
Parcel .1 l.l. Vol 562 Records Page 434, Vol 434 Records Page 495. Approximately
$00'x800' containing 14.69 acres to be rezoned out of the total 32.53 acres. Change
from District A-2 to District RR-1.
TOWN OF WINTER
2) Richard J. Wagner et ux. Part of Govt Lot 2, S 32, T 40N, R SW, lying north of
Barker Lake Road, excepting therefrom the wetlands as indicated on the Wetland
Inventory Map, being Part of Parcel :2.1. Vol 769 Records Page 113. Approximate
parcel size is 255'/575'x450' containing approximately 4.28 acres to be rezoned out

The Sawyer County Zoning Committee, having held a public hearing pursuant to Section
59.69 (5) (e), Wisconsin Statutes, notice thereof having been given as provided by law
and being duly informed of the facts pertinent to the proposed changes, hereby
recommends that the petitions described as follows be approved:
TOWN OF HAYWARD
1) Robert J. Weijk et ux. Part of the SW 1/4 SW 1/4, S 27, T 41N, R 8W; Part of
Parcel .11.1. Vol 562 Records Page 434, Vol 434 Records Page 495. Approximately
800'x800' containing 14.69 acres to be rezoned out of the total 32.53 acres. Change
from District Agricultural Two to District Residential/Recreational One. Purpose of
request is to conform with surrounding zoning and existing uses. Also to allow sale of
existing residence with less than 5 acres. The Town Board has approved the
application.
Arlene Mizerka motioned to approve the application.
Bruce Miller seconded the motion.
Motion carried.
Findings of Fact: It would be compatible with surrounding uses and the area. There is
no problem with it in the Town plan.
