I nominate the following election workers to serve a two year term, according to Sec. 7.30 (4) of Wis. Statutes, and
that each election worker, including the chief inspector, take an oath of office and sign office form EB-154:
Bonnie Harder, Bev Kramer, Barb Adamski, Evelyn Timblin & Betty Orsund; and, that an additional
election inspector who is not counted in this total and does not participate in the counting of votes be
appointed as a greeter and fill-in for election inspectors who need to leave the room during the polling
process; and that person be Judy Skar.
Public Comments, Questions & Concerns
Town of Bass Lake is requesting the S. County Board to change section 5.0(3) pg. 8 from "recommendation" of the
Town Board to "approval" of the Town Board.

change of zone district of the following described real estate to wit:

CSM Vol 10 Page 347; Aff CSM Vo1 10 Page 351. Approximately 5 acres to be
rezoned out of the total 31.44 acres. Change from District A-1 to District C-1 with
the conditions that the lot cannot be fiirther subdivided without the approval of the
Zoning Committee and County Board; lighting is to be shielded and focused down
from adjacent properties; if there is a change from agricultural use within 100' of
the north barder then a coniferous barrier at least 3' in height is to be established.

On December 21, 2007, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved with conditions your
application for change of zone district on the following described real estate to wit:

10 page 347; Aff. CSM Volume 10 page 351. Approximately 5 acres to be rezoned out of the

The Sawyer County Zoning Committee motioned to approve with the conditions that the lot cannot be
further subdivided without the approval of the Zoning Committee and County Board; lighting is to be
shielded and focused down from adjacent properties; if there is a change from agricultural use within
100' of the north border then a coniferous barrier at least 3' in height is to be established.
Findings of Fact of the Zoning Committee: It would not be damaging to the rights of others or
property values. It would not be detrimental to ecology, wildlife, wetlands ar shorelands. It
would not create an air quality, water supply, ar pollution problem. It would be compatible with
surrounding uses and the area. It would be compatible with the Town comprehensive plan.
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in zone district
before it becomes final. This will be scheduled for the County Board meeting on January 17,
2008, 6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person or persons
jointly aggrieved by the decision of the County Board may commence an action in the circuit
court for writ of certiorari to review the decision in whole or in part, within thirty (30) days after
the filing of the decision in the office of the Board.

Re: Seasonal Power Sports—Lighting
Today I visited Seasonal Power Sports ("the property")to observe the exterior lighting
based on an anonymous complaint that a condition of approval of the Conditional Use
Permit "lighting to be shielded and focused down from adjacent properties" has been
violated. It is my determination that the lighting on the exterior of the building meets the
intent of this condition. I believe that it was the intent of the Committee that exterior
lighting shall not shine directly from "the property" onto an adjacent property. It was not
the Committee's intent that exterior lighting shall never be visible from off of"the
property."
Please contact this office if you have any questions or comments. Office hours are 8:00
A.M. to 4:00 P.M, Monday through Friday.

the owner by confornung to the present zone district and the compatibility of the proposed
use with the surrounding land uses. Convenience and financial loss or gain does not
constitute zoning hardship.
Your application will come before the Town Board for their review. Some
townships also have a Planning Commission. Please contact the Town Clerk,

Planning Commission and Town Board meetings for your attendance or the
attendance of your agent.
