Dear Mr. and Mrs. Gamble,
On October 16, 2007, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals denied your application for variance
on the following described real estate to wit:
Lot 10, being Part of Govt Lot 2, S 23, T 40N, R 9W, Parcel :2.5. Doc #321392 and
#344069; 1.53 acres. Property is zoned ResidentiaURecreational One. Application is for
the construction of a 10'x12' (11'4"x14'8" with eaves) bedroom addition onto the land-
ward side of an existing dwelling at a setback distance of 2' from a wetland area. Vari-
ance is requested as Section 4.49(1), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a
minimum setback distance of 40' from this wetland. The Town Board has denied the ap-
plication.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals denied the application as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: For the same reasons the Town denied: It would be for
the convenience of the owner. It would be the basis of economic gain or loss. It would not be due
to special conditions unique to the property. Hardship is not there. Area as it exists provides for
what applicant is looking for. It's not due to physical limitations. Variance would be contrary to
public interest.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals may commence
an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within
30 days after the date of this notice. In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please
refer to Variance 07-025.

County Zoning Board of Appeals on: Tuesday, October 16, 2007.
This hearing will begin at 7:00 P.M. at the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main,
Hayward, WI 54843. It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at
the Hearing. A lack of information about the situation may result in unnecessary detay of
a decision. Failure to appeaz may result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative to be present, please submit a written statement to
this office directed to Raymond Zubrod, Chairman of the Boazd of Appeals. This
statement should include a description of the general terrain; surrounding development;
your proposed intentions; and the purpose of the request. Photographs of the property
and/or buildings aze requested. Explain the undue zoning hardship inflicted upon the
owner by confornung to the required minimum regulation, which induced the variance
request. Convenience and financial loss or gain does not constitute a zoning hazdship.
Your application will also go before the Town Board. Some townships also have a
