Vol 634 Records Page 142; 1.95 acres. Property is zoned Residential/ Recreational One. Application is for the installation of a driveway access onto County Highway KK at a setback distance of 142' to the closest driveway. Variance is requested as Section 4.23(1), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a minimum setback distance of 300' between driveways accessing this highway. The Town Board has ap- proved the application. The Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved the application with a 2 year time limit. Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values. There would be no change in the use in the zone district. It would be due to spe- cial conditions unique to the property. Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Board of Appeals may commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legality of this decision within 30 days after the date of this notice. Rationale for Proposed Driveway Robert Dennis Marienfeld Lea Marienfeld 15461 W County Road KK 1. County Road KK is primarily a residential road,not a busy thomughfaze. Four-tenths of a mile past our home Counly KK ends at Circle Road which has no outiet. 2. The present driveway requires an almost 180 degree turn(two 90 degree turns totaQ to enter,plus an uphill and downhill grade. (Attached photos show the result of a family member's attempt to navigate the tum this past winter. He slid into and wrecked the fish cleaning shed.) 3. A portion of the driveway we aze now using is not located on ow property. 4. The present driveway services three other homes (one house and two seasonal cabins). 5. The proposed driveway location would require the fewest number of trees to be cut down and thus a major reason for our selection of this site. 6. We would like to build a gazage to be located on top of the present driveway which would require no trees to be cut as the area is already cleared. This garage would best be accessed from the proposed driveway site. (Please see attached sketch.) 7. The proposed driveway locarion would also provide sufficient visibility and sufficient distance from the sharp turn on County KK so as to allow safe exiting from our property. 8. We did not choose to locate the proposed driveway 300 feet from the present dtiveway we are using because such a location: 1) is too close to the corner for a safe exit. 2) is a bog/marsh azea. 3) would require the cutting of many trees.
