Dear Mr. Schrock,
On March 20, 2009, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the application for change
of zone district and conditional use on the following described real estate to wit:
Part of the NE 1/4 NE 1/4, S 36, T 40N, R 9W; Parcel 1 .6 and the south 330 feet of
Parcel 1 .7. Volume 257 Records page 160, Volume 340 Records page 218. 5.56 total
acres. Change from District ResidentiaURecreational One to District Agricultural Two.
Purpose of request is for the location of an approximate 300 site cemetery. Also
application made for conditional use. The Town Board has approved with comments.
Rezone Findings of Fact of the Zoning Committee: It would not be damaging to the rights of
others or property values. It would be compatible with surrounding uses and the area and it
would not create traffic or highway access problems.
Conditional Use Findings of Fact: It would be compatible with the surrounding uses and the area;
it was approved by the Town Board; and it's consistent with the Town's comprehensive plan.
The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in zone district
before it becomes final. This will be scheduled for the County Board meeting on Tuesday,
Apri121, 2009, 6:30 P.M., in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person or persons
jointly aggrieved by the decision of the Zoning Committee may commence an action with the
Sawyer County Board of Appeals to review the decision in whole or in part, within thirty (30)
days of the date following the date of the signing of this letter.

The Lac Gourte Oreille:;Historic Preservation Office was requested to do a Phase I,
pedestrian survey for th�above mentioned area.
Five acres of the propo�cd expansion azea was walked over by Jerry Srraith, Historic
Preservation Officer, al;�o present were William Christman, Todd Sck�rock, trusty For thc
Northwoods Chuxch, and Jesse B. Susan,Wisconsin Registered Land Surveyor.
The area was �+valked 1 C�meter transect between survey crew members. No cultural or
arehaeological resources weze located. Pxoject is allowed to proceed. However, as in fhe
past, i f arzy inad�vertently discov�ries are found please notify the historic preservation
office at the number provided above.

Re: Public Hearing date for Change in Zone District and Conditional Use Permit.
To Whom It May Concem:
Your application for a Change in Zone District will be considered at a Public Hearing
before the Sawyer County Zoning Committee on: Friday, March 20, 2009.
This Hearing will begin at 8:30 A.Ni. in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main
Street, Haywazd, Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of
information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to
appear may also result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative be present, please submit a written statement in care
of this office directed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee. This
statement should include your proposed intentions, the purpose of the request, and a
description of the general terrain and surrounding development. Photographs of the
property and/or buildings would be beneficial. Indicate the undue hazdship inflicted upon
the ow�ner by confornvng to the present zone district and the compatibility of the proposed
use with the surrounding land uses. Convenience and financial loss or gain does not
constitute zoning hardship.
1'our applicatio� will come before the Town Board for their review. Some
townships also have a Planning Commission. Please contact the Town Clerk, Dawn
Henk; 634-8469 to confirm the date and obtain the time of the Planning
Commission and Town Board meetings for your attendance or the attendance of
your agent.
