Notice is hereby given that on August 17, 2007 the Sawyer County Zoning Committee
approved the following application:
Part of Govt Lot 1&2, S 31, T 40N, R 6W, Parcels :1.2 &:2.2, Town of Hunter;
and Part of the N'/2 NW'/4, S 6, T 39N, R 6W, Parcels .5.1 and .6.2, Town of
Ojibwa. 56 acres total. Vol 423 Records Page 285. Property is zoned
ResidentiaURecreational Two. Permit is desired for the expansion of an existing
campground within Shady Nook Resort. Approximately 40 campsites to be added,
tent or camper sites only. The Town Boards of Hunter and Ojibwa have approved.
The Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved the application with conditions: Not to
exceed 40 sites, tent or camper sites only; a maximum of 1 month stay.
Findings of Fact: The Town Boards approved. It would be compatible with surrounding
uses and the area. It would not create an objectionable view.
The approval of the conditional use will expire on August 17, 2008, if application for the
actual permit to use/construct is not made by that date.
Any person ar persons jointly aggrieved by the decision of the Zoning Committee may
commence an action with the Sawyer County Board of Appeals to review the decision in
whole ar in part, within thirty (30) days after the filing of the decision in the office of the
Committee.

the SHORELINE VEGETATION PROTECTTON AREA on said real estate is intact to a m;nimum depth of

The owner(s)hereby agrees to comply with the shoreland vegetativa protection area requirements of Section
4.410 SHORELAND VEGETAITON PROTECTION AREA,Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance,in effect on

representarives of the Govemmental Unit to enter onto the owner's properiy at the following descripfion

to inspect the structure(s)or uses authorized by said Land Use Pemut and to detertnine if the SHORELINE
VEGETATTON PROTECTION AREA e�cists and that it is being preserved.This authorization shall terminate
on the date of expiration of the land use permit However,the owner's obligation to maintain the SHORELINE
VEG�TATION PROTECT'ION AREA in accordance with Section 4.410 SHORELAND VEGETATION

I have reviewed the building permit application submitted by Tom Sweeny to construct a new shower
building at the Shady Nook Resort at 7140N Sweeny Lane, Couderay,VlR 54828 in the Town of Ojibwa,
Sawyer County,Wisconsin.
While part of the Shady Nook property is covered by the special Chippewa Flowage buffer zone
restrictions, it appears from the application plan that the proposed construction will be located outside of
the portion covered by the deed covenants.

Sawyer County Zoning Committee on: Friday, August 17, 2007.
This Hearing will begin at 8:30 A.M. at the Ramada located at 10290N Hwy 27 South,
Hayward,Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of
information about the application may resuh in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to
appeaz may also result in the denia( of the application.
If it is impossible for a representative be present, please submit a written statement in care
of this office directed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee. This
statement should include your proposed intentions, the purpose of the request, and a
description of the general terrain and surrounding development. Photographs of the
property and/or buildings would be beneficial. Indicate the undue hazdship inflicted upon
the owner by conforming to the present zone district and the compatibility of the proposed
use with the surrounding land uses. Convenience and financial loss or gain does not
constitute zoning hardship.
Your application will come before the Town of Ojibwa Board AND the Town of
Hunter for their review. Some townships also have a Planning Commission. Please
contact the Town of Ojibwa C7erk, Rebecca Brunner-Stroede 266-2934 AND Town
of Hunter Clerk, Patricia Swaffield, 462-9429 to confirm the date and obtain the
time of the Planning Commission and Town Board meetings for your attendance or
the attendance of your agent.
