shorelands. It wou/d not create an air quality, watersupply, or pollution problem. It would not create
topographical problems such as run oJf, droinage, erosion,flooding, or vegetative mver removal. It would
not create traffic or highway access problems.6. I[would not destroy prime agricultural lands. It would be
rompa[ible with the surrounding uses and the area. It would be mnsis[ent with the Town and/or County

The Sawyer County Board of Supervisors must ratify the approval of the change in zone district before i[
becomes final. This will be scheduled for the County Board mee[ing on November 15,2012 ot 6:30 P.M.,in
the Circuit Caurtroom of the Sawyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recommendation to the County Board of Supervisors. Any person(s)jointly aggrieved by
the decision of the County Board may commence an adion in the Circuit Cour[for Writ of Certiorari to

RESOLUTION TO AMEND SAWYER COUNTY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
WHEREAS, Wisconsin law permits Sawyer County (the "County") to adopt certain
zoning ordinances and amend its existing zoning ordinances, including amendments to the
County's official zoning Inap;

WHEREAS, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee (the "Zoning Committee"), at its
meetin� on Octc►kacr 21 , 2022, reviewed the proposed Zoning Designation Amendment for the
Property;
WHEREAS, the Zoning Committee voted to recommend approval/denial of the proposed
Zoning Designation Amendment to the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors ("County Board");
as detennined by findings of Fact included as Exhibit B.
WHEREAS, the County Baard determined, at its meeting on Novcmber t 7, 2U22, that
adopting the proposed Zoning Designation Atnendment for the Property is warranted to protect
the health, welfare and safety of its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Sawyer County Board of
Supervisors approves the following:
1 . Amer�dm�nt to Ofticial Z�nin��. The Property's zoning designation shall be amended
to {C- 1) t"ommercial One.

Request: Purpose of request is to rezone approximately 4.85 acres of the property to
Commercial One (G 1 ) for recreational vehicle storage. Non-structural starage open land only
storing but not limited to: boats, pontoons, and (off-road) recreational vehicles.
Summary of Request & Project History:
The applicant(s) are requesting to rezone approximately 4.85 acres of a split zoned parcel
of A-1 and RR-2 to G1 (see attached map of parcel). The proposed rezone would result in
conforming zone district dimensional requirements. The purpose of this request would then be to
have a permitted use for commercial storage within the commercial-one zone district. At this time
the owners of the property had indicated it would be for open storage only but if and when a
property is zoned commercial any permitted use within the zone district could occur including
"commercial storage buildings / mini warehouse storage".
Additional Information/details:
See attached additional maps included in this packet. The nearest G1 zoned property in
relation to this property is approximately 680' away to the South along the State Hwy 48 corridor.
The future land use map for the Town of Edgewater shows this area as "shoreland" which is just
indicating of a 1000' buffering around waterbodies. Which as part of the Town's Comprehensive
Plan still references the old Lake Classification system. There are a few other residential structures
within the immediate area specifically west of the subject property. The Zoning Department was
notified last year that the owners of the property were storing others boats and trailers over winter
in this location and would only able to do this is a Cominercial Zone District.
Zoning Committee Public Hearing Info:
There were 26 additional notification letters sent out to property owners within 300' of the
property, 0 co�nments back.
The Town of Edgewater approved the rezone request on October 11, 2022.
At the Sawyer County Zoning Coinmittee Public Hearing on October 21, 2022 it was
recominended for approval of a vote of 5-0 with the findings of fact of:
1 It would not be significantly dainaging to the rights of others or property values
2 It would not be detrimental to ecology, wild life, wetlands or shorelands.
3 It would not create an air quality, water supply, or pollution problem.
4 It would not create topographical problems such as run of£ drainage, erosion, flooding,
or vegetative cover removal.
5 It would not create traffic or hi�hway access problems.
6 It would not destroy prime agricultural lands.
7 It would not create an objectionable view.
8 It would be consistent with the Town and/or County Comprehensive Plan
9 It would be compatible with the surrounding uses and the area.

Request: Purpose of request is to rezone approximately 4.85 acres of the property to
Commercial One (G 1) for recreational vehicle storage. Non-structural storage open land only
storing but not limited to: boats, pontoons, and (off-road) recreational vehicles.
Summary of Request& Project History:
The applicant(s) are requesting to rezone approximately 4.85 acres of a split zoned parcel
of A-1 and RR-2 to G1 (see attached map of parcel). The proposed rezone would result in
conforming zone district dimensional requirements. The purpose of this request would then be to
have a permitted use for commercial storage within the commercial-one zone district. At this time
the owners of the property had indicated it would be for open storage only but if and when a
property is zoned commercial any permitted use within the zone district could occur including
"commercial storage buildings /mini warehouse storage".
Additional Information/details:
See attached additional maps included in this packet. The nearest G1 zoned property in
relation to this property is approximately 680' away to the South along the State Hwy 48 corridor.
The future land use map for the Town of Edgewater shows this area as "shoreland" which is just
indicating of a 1000' buffering around waterbodies. Which as part of the Town's Comprehensive
Plan still references the old Lake Classification system. There are a few other residential structures
within the immediate area specifically west of the subject property. The Zoning Department was
notified last year that the owners of the property were storing others boats and trailers over winter
in this location and would only able to do this is a Commercial Zone District.
