If we could meet at 10am on the 30th, that would be great. No problem with the $75 fee. A couple of
thoughts we have had for the place are the following:
• Raising the house and putting a full, livable, basement in. This is our main focus.
• We also have been thinking
o change in the deck design/size -
o a screen room off the side of the house
o adding an attached garage to the front of the cabin
• Possible retaining walls on the lake side
• Tree removal
• Shed down on the lake for storage
Any help with what we can and cannot do, along with processes we may need to complete for anything we are
considering, would be appreciated.

Jay,
I talked to you back in 2021 when we purchased the cabin at 6298N Whitefish Ln, Stone Lake, WI. At that
time, I was not sure that the property pins were in place or where they were located, if they were in
place. You were very helpful at that time. Recently, I put some work into finding those pins based off of
Certified Survey Maps and found the pins with the use of a metal detector.
My wife and I have been thinking about a couple of things we are wanting to do with the Cabin within a 5-year
time frame. I think we need to start out with you or someone in your department to understand what we can
and can't do with our property and existing cabin. Would you be willing to set a meeting on-site to
discuss? We will be back up there Friday, September 30th....if that would work for you.

Goodmorning Jay,
My wife and I are discussing purchasing my wife's Aunt's cabin at 6298N Whitefish Ln, Stone Lake, WI. One of
the minor drawbacks of this property is that it has no storage for a boat. I've gone through the ordinance on
the county website and somewhat understand the SAWYER COUNTY ZONING SHORELANDWETLAND
PROTECTION ORDINANCE.
I'm thinking the restriction really comes from the Impervious Surface Standards in section 9.0 and after. The
lot being within 300 ft of the Ordinary High-Water Mark. 9.4(1) allows up to 30% of the impervious surface on
a portion of a lot within 300 ft of the ordinary high-water mark. The total lot area is 0.26 acres. The house is

taking the 15%currently. Would we be able to add a smal�shed for storage on the CTH E/Whitefish Ln part of
this lot?
I just want to make sure I'm asking this question before agreeing to purchase. If it can be done,I want to
make sure I understand the process needed. We are going to be up at the cabin starting on Friday July 2
through July 9th if you want to meet on-site.
