Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, the Sawyer County Zoning Board of
Appeals approved your application for variance with conditions for the following proposal:
Town of Bass Lake—Mark Ramsland et ux.Unit#5,Lakeland Shores Condominium,being part
of Gov't lot 5,S5,T 39N,R 8W;Parcel-34.5. Condo Document#316257. 0.455 acres.Prop-
erty is zoned ResidentiaURecreational One.Application is for the construction/replacement of a
14'x 8'porch in that it would change the roof line and cover an e�cisting 10'x 8'portion of an
attached deck.The current deck is located 66'from the ordinary high water mazk of Lac Court
Oreilles and the cabin is located 68'from the ordinary high water mark.The Town Board has ap-
proved the application with additional comments.
Conditions on the approval: The 4' a 10' piece of deck,lakeside of the cabin shall be re-
moved; install rain gutters wit6 drainage away from lake; roof peak not to eaceed 16' in
height; eait deck to the north; provide a letter from the condo association authorizing the
use of 100 sq ft of the condo's impervious surface allocation.
Findings of Fact of the Boazd of Appeals:There is no change in use in the zone district;It would
not be damaging to the rights of others or property values and it would not be the basis of eco-
nomic gain.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Boazd of Appeals may commence
an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review the legaliry of this decision within
30 days after the date of this notice.

The sun porch structure is deteriorating on our three season cabin on Lac Courte Oreilles. What we
would like to do is upgrade this structure so it looks respectable to not oniy the other condo association
members but also other lake residents. There is deterioration of the foundation and rotted waliboards
that need to be repaired. Painting has cracked and we have had to caulk the boards to prevent further
rot. The windows must be replaced because they leak and rattle during storms. The room is cold and
drafty due to zero insulation. We cannot use the room early spring or late fall due to these conditio�s.
What we would ask you to approve is the improvement of this sun porch since this room allows us the
only view of the lake from our condo cabin.
What we would do (if approved) is pitch the roof as our neighbor next door has done. This would allow
rain or snow melt to drain to the sides of the cabin and not flow directly down our steep slope to the
lake. We couid also install gutters to divert this water to prevent further erosion to the slope.
