To Whom It May Concern:
Lakes Gas Co would like to install a 30,000 gallon propane storage tank on this
site.The tank would be setting on two cement saddles approximately 6 feet
above ground with a 6 ft.chain link fence enclosing the front part of the tank
where fuel would be loaded and unloaded.The storage tank will be
approximately 170 ft.from the centerline of the highway.A security light would be
installed for illumination at night. There is already an existing driveway accessing
the property.
The facility would be used as a satellite location,meaning loading and unloading
would be done once per day during the colder months and occasionally during
the rest of the year.
No storage of any other equipment or tanks will be on this property.

We have completed our review of the recent request for a conditional use permit to use the Ruger TD LLC property for a
Bulk LP Storage facility in the Town of Lenroot. WisDOT exercises no authority over zoning, so we offer no comment
regarding request to rezone.
Our research did reveal that the subject property has an existing access (driveway) that has been permitted for rural
residential use only (Permit 57-197-07). The existing driveway does not meet the minimum desirable spacing criteria of
1,000 feet for driveways on the same side of the roadway. The driveway was permitted with a waiver to standards for
spacing because there is no other reasonable alternative to provide access from the property. WisDOT will consider
approving an alteration of the existing driveway from rural residential to rural commercial use. WisDOT does require that
Ruger TD LLC apply to alter the access with any change in use of this property. Please have Todd Goold contact me
directly and we will work with him to explore his options, and complete the necessary application documents.

Street, Hayward, Wisconsin.

of information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision.

statement directed to James Bassett, Chairman of the Zoning Committee addressed to
