Ownership: The property is currently owned by the State of Wisconsin, managed by the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources as the Flambeau River State Forest. c. Access Routes: a. Roadways to be used— Price Creek Road which runs directly past the pit will provide access to County Road M. b. Driveway Permit— This is an existing pit that has an existing driveway. 9. Major Equipment to be used During the Operation: a. Crusher— Gravel crushing is planned at this site. b. Asphalt Hot Mix Plant— There will be no asphalt produced at this site. c. Screening Plant— a screening plant will only be necessary to meet gravel specifications. d. Buffers — No buffers are planned for this site. d. Other—The pit will continue to expand to the south, east and west. 11. Lot Lines: a. Fencing — There is no plan to fence this site. There is a lockable gate at the entrance to this pit. b. Identification and Safety Signs — The Sawyer County Highway Dept. will place a sign to identify ownership and hazards associated with this location. 12. Navigable Waters & Wetlands: There are no navigable waters on this properry. 13. DNR Erosion Control Measures: � a. Surface Water Protection— There are no navigable waters on this property. b. Groundwater Protection—There will be no groundwater protection required at this pit. 14. Erosion Control Measures: a. Berms — Topsoil berms will be utilized to contain runoff in the pit area. b. Silt Fence/Straw Bale Barriers— Silt fence and erosion bales wID be used as needed to control erosion in and around the pit. c. Other— Other erosion control measures will be used as needed to control erosion in and around the pit. 15. Environmental Considerations: a. Noise — Noise will be restricted to operating hours. b. Mining operations will take place beyond the right-of- way. h. Other — There are no environmental considerations to consider. 16. What Activities will this Mining Support? a. Use of Applicant Only — This pit will only be used by the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources and the Sawyer County Highway Dept. b. State, County, or Town Projects — This pit will be used for miscellaneous projects proposed by the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources and for highway maintenance work by the Sawyer County Highway Dept. c. Commercial Sale of Projects — There will be no commercial sale of products from this site. � d. Other — There are no other activities planned for this pit. 17. This Hearing will begin at 8:30 A.M. in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main Street,Hayward,Wisconsin. It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to appear may also result in the denial of the application. If it is impossible for you or a representative to be present, please submit a written statement directed to James Bassett,Chairman of the Zoning Committee addressed to this office. The statement should include your proposed intentions or purpose of the request and a description of the general terrain and surrounding development.Indicate how the proposal would not be contrary to the public interest.
