This application is being submitted for a conditional use permit for operation of an event barn located at
10886N Round Lake School Rd, Hayward, WI owned by Matt& Kim Dale. The area consists of rural and
sparsely populated farm land between Hayward and Round Lake. The barn, courtyard and hay field will
be rented and used by parties for weddings, meetings, reunions, anniversaries and nonprofit
organization fundraisers weather permitting between May and October.The barn will not be used for
events during the colder months of November—April. Meals will be served by licensed caterers hired
directly by renters. Renters will also purchase and provide beer/wine to be served at the event utilizing a
certified and insured bartender service of our choice.Some events may necessitate the use of tents for
additional dining space. All events shall take place between the hours of 10:00 AM and midnight.
Parking areas will consist of gravel and hay field in elevated and well drained locations. Sufficient porta-
potties will be rented for the duration of each event and removed thereafter. Garbage disposal will
consist of an adequate number of dumpsters.
The barn and cabin on this property were built around 1878 and is one of the oldest farmsteads in the
Hayward area. The Dale Family hopes to preserve these buildings for their aesthetic, educational and
historical value to the area.The income generated from the rental of the space will be used to sustain
the business and refurbish and preserve the farmstead.

RE: Appeal of Dale CUP
I have received your appeal in a timely manner. As you know, the $500.00 fee and
original signature must accompany the application.
At the upcoming Zoning meeting on August 19r�, the Agricultural 1 (A1) district
permitted and conditional uses will be updated to reflect concurrence with ATCP 91 . In
addition, I have added "like or similar uses" and would be amenable to adding event
barns as a conditional use at that time.
If you choose to pursue your appeal, please come to the zoning office with your check for
$500.00 and to sign the appeal. Be aware I have corresponded with Corporation Counsel
Thomas Duffy and we believe you do not maintain standing to file this appeal as an
aggrieved party.
If you choose to rescind your appeal, please send me written confirmation.
I will hold off on any action until I hear from you by August 2°d, 2016.

Dear Matt&Kim,
Your application for a Conditional Use will be considered at a Public Hearing before the
Sawyer County Zoning Committee on June 17,2016.
This Hearing will begin at 8:30 A.M. in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main
Street,Hayward,Wisconsin.
It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack
of information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision.
Failure to appear may also result in the denial of the application.
If it is impossible for you or a representative to be present, please submit a written
statement directed to James Bassett,Chairman of the Zoning Committee addressed to
this office.The statement should inciude your proposed intentions or purpose of the
request and a description of the general terrain and surrounding development.Indicate
how the proposal would not be contrary to the public interest. Photographs of the
property and surrounding area are encouraged.
Your application will aiso go before the Town Board for their review. Some townships
