The Sawyer County Zoning & Conservation Department currently does not have any complaints for this file. The current hours of operation are indicated as approximately from 7:00 AM to 5 PM, 5 days a week. 8 months a year. Financial assurance has been received for $7,500 and expires 08/30/19 in the form of an inevocable letter of credit. Additional information for Conditional Use Permits: Substantial evidence means facts and information, other than merely personal preferences or speculation, directly pertaining to the requirements and conditions an applicant must meet to obtain a conditional use permit and that reasonable persons would accept in support of a conclusion. The location of this pit is approximately 4 miles south of the Village of Winter. The owner of this property equaling 40 acres is Ralph Petit, N3881 Old J Road, Winter WI. The operator is R&P's Earth & Forest Works, W7064 Fadness Road, Winter WI. R&P's recently purchased the 40 acres to the west of the original pit and has extended into this 40 acre parcel. The new pit is currently approximately one acre, but there is an area approximately 100' x 100' on the Petit 40 acres, where the stockpile of gravel currently sits.
