Project History & Summary of Request The agent of this case, Mc Manka, is now the current owner of the property. He has purchased the land from the Town of Sand Lake and wants to build a 60'x36' Senior Citizen Center on the property described above. This Senior Center would meet all other setbacks in the proposed location. There is then a potential for future housi�g for senior citizens on the adjacent lots. As per Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance Section 171(B)(4) a conditional use must be authorized for a public and semi-public use as stated above. Additional information for Conditional Use Permits: Substantial evidence means facts and information, other than merely personal preferences or speculation, directly pertaining to the requirements and conditions an applicant musY meet to obtain a conditional use permit and that reasonable persons would accept in support of a conclusion. If an applicant agrees to meets all of the requirements and conditions specified in the counTy ordinance or those imposed by the county zoning board, the county shall grant the conditional use permit. Any condition imposed must be related to the purpose of the ordinance and be based on substantial evidence. The conditions must be reasonable and, to the extent practicable, measurable. The applicant must demonstrate that the application and all requirements and conditions established by the county relating to the conditional use are or shall be satisfied, both of which must be supported by substantial evidence. This Hearing will begin at 830 A.M.in the Sawyer County Courthouse, 10610 Main Street, Hayward, Wisconsin. It is recommended that either you or a representative be present at the Hearing. A lack of information about the application may result in unnecessary delay of a decision. Failure to appear may also result in the denial of the application. If it is impossible for you or a representative to be present, please submit a written statement directed to Ronald Buckholtz, Chairman of the Zoning Committee addressed to this office.The statement should include your proposed intentions or purpose of the request and a description of the general terrain and surrounding development. Indicate how the proposal would not be contrary to the public interest. Photographs of the property and surrounding area are encouraged.
