Johnson Crushing and Trucking of Winter and Hayward, W1. Submits this operation plan for our gravel pit to Sawyer County Zoning Commission together with a Conditional Use Permit Renewal for the site. Materials supplied by the gravel pit will be used for adjoining township roads and paper company roads. SITE DESCRIPTION. OWNER. The proposed gravel pit lies on property owned by Daniel W. Johnson, D.B.A. Johnson Crushing and Trucking LLC of Winter and Hayward, Wisconsin. LOCATION. The proposed site is located off of TePaske Lane in Southeastern Sawyer County. Part of the E Yz of the NE '/4, S17, T38N, R3W. See attached maps. GEOGRAPHY AND GEOLOGY. The property under consideration is characterized geologically as ground moraine glacial deposits by the Wisconsin Geological Survey. Johnson Crushing and Trucking have tested the deposits verifying it continues from the adjacent gravel pit through the subject property. ADJOINING LAND USE. Property that surrounds the proposed gravel pit site is Wisconsin Department Of Natural Resources Land, and is zoned Forestry. OPERATION PLAN. SITE LAYOUT Figure 3 shows proposed gravel pit operation. CLEARING AND STRIPPING Prior to excavation trees will be cleared from the extraction area and topsoil will be stockpiled for future reclamation. All timber will be utilized by the land owner, EXTRACTION SEQUENCE Material Extraction will begin at existing open gravel face and proceed in a Northwesterly direction. OPERATION ACTIVITIES Proposed operation activities include the following... * Gravel extraction — continuous * Conveying — Continuous * Loading — Continuous * Crushing — Continuous * Screening — Continuous DURATION AND HOURS OF OPERATION Crushing operation activities will occur during the hours of 6 A.M. and 8 P.M. Intermittedly April through November. OPERATION EQUIPMENT Equipment to be operated at the site include a portable hydrocone crusher,breaker, screen plant,four conveyors,two wheel loaders,dozer,generator,and misc. small support vehicles.Fueling of equipment will be done onsite by mobile fuel suppliers. HAUL ROUTES Crushed aggregate will be hauled from the pit in both directions using County Road W. EXTRACTION RATE Plans are to extract and crush on average 100 cubic yards per hour or 1200 cubic yards per day. ENVIROMENTAL PROTECTIONS EROSION CONTROL. Frecipitation falling within the extraction site will be contained within the extraction zone limits. Run off waters are not expected to accumulate in the bottom of the pit due to porosity of the soiL DUST AND NOISE Existing woodlands will provide a natural buffer of the gravel operation. RECLAMATION PLAN Topsoil will be salvaged and stockpiled during the extraction process.As an ongoing process the pit walls will be flattened and sloped to 3:1(horizontal to vertical.)Rocks and boulders wil]be buried prior to final grading.1'opsoil will be evenly spread and the landowner will plant into trees.All Wisconsin statute NR 135 rules will be followed.
