Summary of Request & Project History: The applicant(s) are requesting to rezone the entire 40 acres of F-1 to A-2. As per the A-2 zone district per the applicant's request would be compliant within the proposed rezone and would not require additional Conditional Use Permits. Additional Information/details: See attached additional maps included in this packet. There are several properties within this immediate area already zoned A-2 and several other zone A-1 . The only other zone districts in this area are existing F-1 . The Town of Meteor as part of their comprehensive plan shows this subject rezone request area on their future map as residential. However, almost all of the Hwy C corridor is shown as residential within the comp plan but zone districts are varied between Agricultural, Forestry, and Residential. The applicants already have a primary residence on this property. The USDA as part of the NRCS Web Soil Survey shows over 80% of this property as farmland of statewide importance. Town Board Information and Zoning Committee Public Hearing Information: There were 6 opinion letters sent out, 2 were returned all with no objections and read into record. At the Town Board meeting on April 12, 2021 request was approved. At the Sawyer County Zoning Committee public hearing meeting on April 16, 2021 the applicant was present to speak on behalf of the request with no additional objection. A recommendation for approval was then made to the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors by a vote of 5-0 with the finding of facts as: 1.
