On April 16,2021 the Sawyer County Zoning Committee approved your application for a change of zone
district on the following described real estote to wit:
Property Description:The N W'/<of the SW'/<;523,T37N,RO8W;Parcel#018-837-233201;40 Total Acres;
Zoned Forestry One(F-1).
Purpose of request is to change zone district Forestry One(F-1)to Agricultural Two(A-2)to allow hobby
farm activities including beekeeping,raising less than 15 animal units of livestock for personal
consumption and vegetation/soil management(pigs,chickens,goats),construction of a small barn and
necessary coops and pens,and development of a garden and small fruit orchard.
Motion by Paulsen to approve the application,second by Hessel.Roll call finds Paulsen—yes,Petit—yes,
Boettcher—yes,Hessel—yes,Buckholtz—yes. Allinfavor.
Findings of Fact:it would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values. It is a good use for
Agricultural land.
The Sawyer County Baard af Supervisors must ratiJy the opproval of the change in zone distric[before it
becomes final.This will be scheduled for the County Board meeting May 10,2021 at 6:30 P.M.,in the
Large Courtroom of the Sowyer County Courthouse.
This decision is a recammendation to fhe Coun[y Board of Supervisors. Any person(sJ jointty aggrieved by
the decision of the County Board may commence on action in the Circuit Courf for Writ of Cer[iarari to
review the legality of[he decision within 30 days ofter[he date the decision is rotified 6y the County
Board.

RESOLUTION TO AMEND SAWYER COUNTY OFFICIAL ZONING MAP
WHEREAS, Wisconsin law pemiits Sawyer County (the "County") to adopt certain
zoning ordinances and amend its existing zoning ordinances, including amendments to the
County's official zoning map;
WHEREAS, the owner of real property located at The Northwest '/ of the SW '/y S23
T'37N, R04W Purcel M014-R37-23-3201; 40 Total Acres; Zoncxi Forestry Onc(F-I) (thc
"Property"), and as more fully described as set forth in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and
incorporated herein, requested a rezoning of the Property's zoning designation from Forestry
Onc P-IZta Aaricultural Two (A-2) (the"Zoning Designation Amendment");
WIIEREAS, the Sawyer County Zoning Committee (the "Zoning Committee'), at its
meeting on April 16, ZO"?I, reviewed the proposed Zoning Designation Amendment for the
Property;
W HEREAS, the Zoning Committee voted to rccommcnd a prova denial of the proposed
Zoning Designation Amendment to the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors ("County Board");
as detem�ined by findings of Fact included as Exhibit B.
WHEREAS, tl�e County Board determined, at its meeting on Mav '_'0, 2021,that adopting
the proposed Zoning Designation Amendment for the Property is warranted to protect the health,
welfare and safety of its citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE BE [T RESOLVED,by the Sawyer County Board of
Supervisors approves the following:
I. Amendment to Official Zoning Map. The Property's zoning designation shall be aznended
to A�ricultural Two (A-2).
2. Additional Actions. The Sawyer County Department of Zoning and Conservation
Administrator (or his/her designee) shall take all necessary steps to ensure that the
amendment adopted herein is completed.
This Resolution is recommended for adoption by the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors at its
meeting on Mav 20, �021 by this Sawyer County Zoning Committee on this Anril 16. 2021.

Request: Purpose of request is to change zone district Forestry One (F-1 ) to Agricultural Two

Summary of Request & Project History:
The applicant(s) are requesting to rezone the entire 40 acres of F-1 to A-2. As per the A-2 zone
district per the applicant's request would be compliant within the proposed rezone and would not
require additional Conditional Use Permits.
Additional Information/details:
See attached additional maps included in this packet. There are several properties within
this immediate area already zoned A-2 and several other zone A-1 . The only other zone districts
in this area are existing F-1 . The Town of Meteor as part of their comprehensive plan shows this
subject rezone request area on their future map as residential. However, almost all of the Hwy C
corridor is shown as residential within the comp plan but zone districts are varied between
Agricultural, Forestry, and Residential. The applicants already have a primary residence on this
property.
The USDA as part of the NRCS Web Soil Survey shows over 80% of this property as farmland of
statewide importance.
Town Board Information and Zoning Committee Public Hearing Information:
There were 6 opinion letters sent out, 2 were returned all with no objections and read into record.
At the Town Board meeting on April 12, 2021 request was approved.
At the Sawyer County Zoning Committee public hearing meeting on April 16, 2021 the applicant
was present to speak on behalf of the request with no additional objection. A recommendation
for approval was then made to the Sawyer County Board of Supervisors by a vote of 5-0 with the
finding of facts as:
1. It would not be damaging to the rights of others or property values.
2. It would be a good use of agricultural land.
