Dear Mrs. Sisson:
I have enclosed the following documents with this letter:
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• "Court Decisions Regarding the Granting of Variances,"
• "Application for Variance - Additional Information," and a completed
• "Variance Application."
Please review the inspection report, read the summary on court decisions and complete
the request for additional information.
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance, you should review the
variance application for correctness, sign it, and return it to this office with a check in the
amount of $250.00 made out to the "Sawyer CountyZoning Administration" by Friday,
Apri16, 2001 for hearings in May 2001 .
The "Application for Variance - Additional Information" must also be filled out and
returned with the Variance Application. Both documents together make up the entire
application that will be reviewed by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Failure to
return both of the documents or failure to complete either document in its entirety will
cause the variance application to be rejected by this office.
Your application will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing will held by
the Town of Hayward at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 8, 2001 . You should contact Jodi
Longtine, Clerk, Town of Hayward, at (715) 634-4123 (office) or 634-4958 (home) to
confirm this date.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, May 15, 2001 in the large courtroom located in the Sawyer County Courthouse.
You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing conducted
by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant the
variance, the decision of the Town of Hayward is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance that you
have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the
Board.

Dear Mr. Winter:
On Tuesday, September 20, 1994, the Sawyer County Board of Appeals approved
your application for a variance on the following described real estate to wit:
Lot 1 being a part of Lots 44 and 45, Round Lake Park
S 23, T 41N, R 8W. Parcel -4.44.4. WD Vol 536 Records
Pg 212; CS Vol 3 Pg 129; and Plat Envelope 12. Parcel
size is .66 acres. Property is zoned Residential One.
Application is for the construction of a 6'x 8' addi-
tion onto an existing dwelling at a waterline setback
of 32 feet; and a 16'x 40' addition onto an existing
dwelling at a waterline setback of 54 feet from the
normal highwater mark of Round Lake by the purchasers.
Variance is requested as Section 4.49, Sawyer County
Zoning Ordinance, would require a waterline setback of
75 feet from the normal highwater mark of the lake.
The Town Board has approved.
The Board of Appeals approved the application as submitted.
Findings of Fact of the Board of Appeals: It would not be the basis of economic
gain or loss. It would not be a self-created hardship. There would be no
change in the use in the zone district. It would not be damaging to the rights
of others or property values.
Any person or persons jointly aggrieved by this decision of the Eoard of Appeals
may commence an action in the Circuit Court for Writ of Certiorari to review
the legality of this decision within 30 days after the date of this notice.
In future correspondence, or in applying for permits, please refer to Variance
94-028.
