Application is for: the construction of a 26' x46' dwelling, including an attached garage, at a setback
distance of 42' from the centerline of Arrowhead Lane (a Town Road). Also, the installation of a private
access driveway 57' from the closest driveway. All on a lot containing approximately 15,072 square feet.
Variance is requested as: Section 4.21(3), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a minimum
setback distance of 63' from the centerline of the Town road, Section 4.23 would require a minimum setback
distance of 75' between private access driveways and Section 18.2 would require a minimum parcel area of
20,000 square feet.

Dear Ms. Peters:
I have enclosed the following documents with this letter:
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• "Court Decisions Regarding the Granting of Variances,"
• "Application for Variance - Additional Information," and a completed
• "Variance Application."
Please review the inspection report, read the summary on court decisions and complete
the request for additional information.
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance, you should review the
variance application for correctness, sign it, and return it to this office with a check in the
amount of$250.00 made out to the "Sawyer County Zoning Administration" by Friday,
August 3, 2001 for hearings in September 2001.
The "Application for Variance - Additional Infarmation" must also be filled out and
returned with the Variance Application. Both documents together make up the entire
application that will be reviewed by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Failure to
return both of the documents ar failure to complete either document in its entirety will
cause the variance application to be rejected by this office.
Your application will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing will held by
the Town of Edgewater at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 11, 200L You should contact
Natalie Clemens, Clerk, Town of Edgewater, at(715) 354-7747 to confirm this date.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, September 18, 2001 in the large courtroom located in the Sawyer County
Courthouse. You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing
conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant
the variance, the decision of the Town of Edgewater is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance that you
have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e.,
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the
Board.
