Deaz Mr. Jacobsen: Mr. Eric Wellauer, code Enforcement Ot�"icer and I stopped by your property at 5930 W West Shore Lane, Sand Lake. The remodeling work and re-siding seems to be in order. However, I inspected the septic/sewer system and discovered it is a failed sewer system. You may not have realized the depth ofthe drywelL The bottom ofthe old drywell is below the normal highwater mazk of the Lake. Private sewage code requires that at least 3 feet of unsaturated suitable soils undemeath all systems to purify the sewage effluent before re-entering the groundwater. You aze hereby ordered to replace the failed system. I will set the following deadlines: 1.) Get soil test, sanitary permit by August 1, 2001. 2.) Install code complying system by September 1, 2001 Should you have any questions please write or call. I know that you develop a lot of properties in Sawyer County. I recommend that you evaluate the existing septic/sewer systems on existing properties over 15 years old.
