SAWYER COUNTY BOARD OF APPEALS

PRELIMINARY MATTERS
1) Call to Order and Roll Call
AV, Chairman, calls the Public Hearing before the Sawyer County Zoning Board of
Appeals to arder at 7:00 P.M. in the Circuit Courtroom of the Sawyer County
Courthouse, 10610 Main St., Hayward, Wisconsin. Roll is called finding present: AV,
RZ, WAC, CK. CB excused.
2) Statement of Board and Hearing Procedures.
AV states those wishing to speak will be afforded the opportunity provided they identify
themselves. Gives order of submitting files to BOA, taking testimony, and making a
decision. Requests orderly procedure. Gives appeal deadline.
3) Statement of Hearing Notice.
AV states Public Hearing published as a Class 2 Notice in accordance with Chapter 985
of the Wisconsin Statutes in the Sawyer County Record on February 28 and March 7,
2001 . Gives agenda outline.
VARIANCE APPLICATIONS
1) Town of Round Lake - Part of the NE '/4, S 2, T 41N, R 7W, Parcels .1.1, . 1.6, .2.1, .3.1,
.4. 1, .4.9. Vol 727 Records Page 201 . 95 acres total. Change to Farestry One zone district
has been applied for. Application is for the location/operation of a rock crusher as part of
a non-metallic mineral extraction, within 1000 feet of a residence. Variance is requested
as Section 6.23(1), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance, would require a minimum setback
of 1000 feet from any residence other than that of the permit holder. Town Board has
taken no action; application has been withdrawn by the applicant.
WAC reads application into the record. No maps or opinion letters presented. WAC reads
letter from Monarch Paving which withdraws application.
AV motions to accept withdrawal.
RZ seconds motion.
Motion carried.
