The Town of Ojibwa has selected camping option #three which is included below in the Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance Section 6.7. It was reported that 2 camping vehicles have been on property in excess of 14 days per calendar year. Furthermore, our office has been notified that a shed was placed on the property without permits. Sheds are vacant land are allowed but must be granted a Land Use Permit from our office. Storage sheds on vacant land must meet the following requirements: An exemption is granted for one (1) STORAGE SHED / STORAGE STRUCTURE to be allowed on vacant parcels with the following requirements: 1. Parcel must contain a minimum of 20,000 square feet of land area. 2. This exemption is not allowed in platted subdivisions. 3. This exemption requires a Land Use Permit regardless of size and not to exceed 144 square feet of footprint area. 4. Must be less than 14' in height. 5. No habitation is allowed in these exempt structures. 6. Applicable accessory structure setbacks shall be applied. 7. A fire number/site address is required as part of this STORAGE SHED / STORAGE STRUCTURE exemption. 8. A SHIPPING CONTAINER / INTERMODAL CONTAINER in excess of 144 square feet is not allowed for this exemption. 9. Check with respective Town or County Highway Department if a driveway permit is required. 6.73 OPTION THREE - "CAMPING" PERMITTED ON BOTH "LAKE" AND OFF "LAKE" LOTS. � 1) IMPROVED LOTS — (LOTS CONTAINING A DWELLING) a) A property owner may store not more than two (2) camping vehicles/trailers on his/her property. b) The owner(s) of any improved lot in Sawyer County may have overnight guests stay in either the owner's or the guest's camping equipment for up to fourteen (14) days per calendar year. One guest camping vehicle/trailer will be allowed on any improved parcel for a total of 14 days per calendar year. c) For special events such as family reunions and holiday weekends, up to five (5) major recreational equipment/vehicles will be allowed on any improved parcel for a period of up to 7 days per calendar year. I am setting an order for correction to have at least 1 camper removed from the property December 1, 2022 and unable to return to the property this year. Failure to comply with this order for correction will result in citation for $389.50 with a recommendation to the Judge for a daily forfeiture in the amount of$25 for every day the camper remains in violation. This would remain in effect moving forward for exceed more than 2 campers onsite for more than 14 days per calendar year. An additional order for correction would be to have a valid Land Use Permit submitted to our office by December 1, 2022 or will result in citation.
