I have not and will not have time to review your new plan until next Spring. The current shoreland (Sec. 2.0 under the Sawyer County shoreland zoning ordinance) allows for the removal of natural vegetation of up to 30' per 100'. You have approximately 425' of total shoreline, which allows you 127 feet of open areas. Under the plan in my office you have 72' of use areas currently open. You are allowed an additional 50' of open area provided no more than 30' are contiguous. If you wish to use shoreline editing rather than clearing it would be my preferred alternative. This does not override any agreement between you and the Department of Natural Resources or Sawyer County Zoning. If you have further questions, please contact me at 634-6463.
