RE: Robert Burns land use permit
Dear Mr. Christman,
I performed a field visit on June l2; 2001 with Eric Wellauer of your department. The
site is presently cleared by having trees removed only. The shoreline is relatively intact
with the exception of a few smaller trees cut near the shore. There are several larger
diameter trees marked within 35' of the Ordinary High Water Mark(OHWM), and I
would recommend these trees remain.
Existing vegetation at the site include, but not Iimited to:

Providing the remainder of the existing shoreline is left intact, this property meets with
t��Gard Gaz�bo rul� for up to a 200 ft� deck, patio, or gazebo being huilt in the area
between 35' and 75' of the OHWM provided it sidelot setbacks are met. Pm not certain
the spirit of the rule was intended to build a residence closer and put the deck within the
shoreland zone, but this property will qualify for the exemption.
