To Whom It May Concern:
Enclosed you will please find an application for a land use permit for replacement of the
deck, and addition of a wheel chair accessible ramp, on our home on Round Lake. I am
submitting the application on behalf of my parents, Shirley and Ted Kaleel, who are the
��x�ners of the nroperty. My father's illness requires him to be in a wheelchair or
motorized cart at all times. The existing deck, which was built more than 20 years ago,
will not support the weight of the motorized cart, and must therefore be replaced.
Further, the front door to the house is only accessible from the deck, making the addition
of a ramp necessary.
We greatly appreciate your attention to this request. We would very much like to get a
contractor started soon so that the work is completed before my parents begin their
summer visit. We are aware that the Town of Hayward must also issue a building permit
after the land use permit is issued.
