RE: Ken Finstad; Guard Gazebo Rule
Dear Mr. Chrsitman,
I preformed a field visit on August 23 on Ken Finstad's property inspecting the
vegetation and noting the measurements of the structures and buffers on the property.
The proposed gazebo building site is set back far enouy,h from any buffer zone and is
accordance with the guidelines of the Guazd Gazebo rule. The proposed gazebo site is
14x14, which very close to the maximum size of structure. The shoreline is relatively a
natural sandy beach with native grasses and legumes. The use corridor was measured as
20�c25 feet, which is mowed regularly. There are several lazge in diameter trees marked
within 35' of the Ordinary High Water Mazk (OHWM), and I would recommend that
these trees remain. Providing the remainder of the existing shoreline is lett intact, this
property meets with the Guazd Gazebo rule for up to a 200 ft2 deck,patio, or gazebo
being built in the azea between 35' and 75' ofthe OHWM provided its sidelot setbacks
are met.
