Dear Deb,
I have reviewed the building pemut application for David L. and Lynne A. Speed for construction of a
garage and shed buildings on property identified as lot 1, CSM Vol. 14, page 345. This parcel is located
in the E '/z of the NE '/a of sections 1, Town 40N, Range 7W, and the W '/z of the NW 1/a of Section 6,
Town 40N Range 6W in the Town of Hunter. This property is further identified as Sawyer County tax
ID # 012-640-06-2214, parcel .6.14.
This property is encumbered by Chippewa Flowage Buffer Zone restrictions, which may apply to the
proposed construction. This area is covered by restrictions that prevent structures to be placed within
100 feet of the 1313 msl contour of the Chippewa Flowage. While their construction lies outside of the
100 ft. buffer zone, the owners should be aware that additional restrictions extend 1000 feet landward
from the 1313 msl. line that require the exterior color of the building to be of natural wood and earth tone
colors, and structures be no higher than 35 ft. I have attached a copy of the deed restrictions applicable
to the property and suggest that the Speeds review them prior to construction.
All other county and state codes and permits apply to the subject property and must be applied for and
adhered to.
