Dear Mr. Frischmann:
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• Application for Variance — Additional Information,
• Board of Appeals Conclusions of Law Form (This is the form that the Board members
will use to determine if your situation meets the requirements for the granting of the
variance that you have requested.) and a
• completed "Variance Application."
You should review the inspection report and application for correctness. If correct, sign
the application and return it to this office with a check in the amount of$250.00 made out
to the "Sawyer County Zoning Administration" by Friday, August 6, 2004 for hearings in
September 2004.
The "Application for Variance - Additional Information" must also be filled out and
returned with the Variance Application. Both documents together make up the entire
application that will be reviewed by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Failure to
return both of the documents or failure to complete either document in its entirety will
cause the variance application to be rejected by this office.
The "Variance Application" will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing
will be held by the Town of Bass Lake at 6:30 P.M., Monday, September 13, 2004. You
should contact Shirley A. Miller, Town of Bass Lake Clerk, at (715) 634-8469 (Town
Hall) to confirm this date.
The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M.,
Tuesday, September 21 , 2004, in the large courtroom located in the Sawyer County
Courthouse. You or your agent should attend each hearing, especially the hearing
conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant
the variance, the decision of the Town of Bass Lake is advisory only.
It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance that has
been requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e., .
photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present the facts to the
Board.
Please contact Mrs. Kitty Taylor if you have any questions. Office hours are 8:00 A.M. to

Variance is requested as: Section 2.0(2), Sawyer County Zoning Ordinance would require that a minimum
of 75% of the existing dwelling's exterior wall area remain as exterior walls, Section 10.2 would restrict the
cost of construction to less than 50% of the CEFMV), Section 4.49(6) would require a minimum rear lot line
setback of 10 feet and Section 4.25 would require a minimum parcel area of 20,000 sq/ft.

I have enclosed the following documents with this letter.
• Inspection Report for the above property,
• "Court Decisions Regarding the Granting of Variances,"
• "Application for Variance -Additional Information,"
• a copy of the Sawyer County Board of Appeals Conclusions of Law Form(This is the
form that the Board members will use to determine if your situation meets the
requirements for the granting of the variance that you have requested.) and a
• completed "Variance Application."
If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance you should review the
application for correctness. If correct, sign the application and return it to this office with
a check in the amount of$250.00 made out to the "Sawyer County Zoning
Administration"by Friday,November 7, 2003 for hearings in December 2003.
The "Application for Variance - Additional Information" must also be filled out and
returned with the Variance Application. Both documents together make up the entire

One of the questions that the Board may ask you is if you have attempted to purchase
additional properiy from adjacent property owners. We discussed your mother's
property, but this does not seem feasible as her property is already substandard in size.
The property to the west(lots 6-8) is also substandard in size (0.207 acres) and it also
does not seem practical for the owners to sell any of their property to you. The owner of
lots 6-8 is Bruce J. Frederick, 1725 Dublin Trail,Neenah, WI 54956
