Sincerely, � � �( � i�� Tim Seidl Conservation Technician Sawyer County LWCD Attachments CC: John Carlson GRAND PINES CONDOMINIUM NORTH SHORELINE MITIGATTON PLAN This plan is submitted pursuant to section 4.419 of the Sawyer County zoning ordinances. Grand Pines Condominium North is seeking to construct a garage for units 1-5, 7, 8, 9A, 9B, 10-14. Tbis garage will be constructed approximately 1,700 feet from the shoreline on the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of Section 36,Township 41 North, Range 8 West in the Town of Hayward. Pursuant to section 4.419(3)(c), a land use pernut shall not be issued until a mitigation plan has been approved and filed with the zoning department. Existing Site Conditions: Crrand Pines Condominium NoRh is located on Round lake in the Town of Hayward. The condominium was created on August 18, 2005. The condominium consists of fifteen units that are located on Round lake. There is appro�mately 624.72 feet of shoreline(30%is 187.42)and thirteen docks. There is a wooden boardwalk that connects each of the units and docks with the Famous Dave's Restaurant. The boardwalk is generally 36 inches wide. As can be seen by the pictures and maps of the site, the buildings are situated very close to the shoreline. Units one and nine are situated within 35 feet of the ordinary high water line. The there are numerous existing trees along the shoreline South of the restaurant. There are a few large trees to North of the restaurant. Most of the large trees are cottonwood. The ground is very sandy, completely sand in some areas and is covered with a little grass and some moss in the shaded areas. The grass appears to have been mowed on a regular basis. The shoreline has sun exposure from the South and West. Mitigation Plan: As stated above, this plan is a mandatory step in obtaining a land use permit. Grand Pines Condominium North will no longer mow the grass area within 35 feet of the ordinary high water mark of Round Lake. The appro�mate location of this 35 feet boundary is indicated on the survey map submitted with this plan. The Association will maintain the boazdwalks leading to the docks located on lake along with the existing flower beds around the restaurant. If the Association desires to change the area within 35 feet of the ordinary high water mark, it will consult a landscape azchitect to design a plan to further restore the shoreline to its natural state. Any plan created in the future will be submitted to the Sawyer County Land and Water Conservation department for approval prior to implementation. Implementation Plan: Ttus plan will be unmediately implemented. The Association will no longer mow tbe grass area within 35 feet ofthe ordinary high water mark.
