If you believe that you meet the criteria for the requested variance you should review the application for correcmess. If correct, sign the application and return it to this office with a check in the amount of$350.00 made out to the "Sawyer County Zoning Administration" by Friday, April 7, 2006 for hearings in May 2006. Please indicate on the application your anticipated time of presentation to the Board Your "Variance Application" will be reviewed at two public hearings. The first hearing will be held by the Town of Edgewater at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 9, 2006. You should contact Natalie Clemens, Town of Edgewater Clerk, at (715) 354-7747 to confirm the date and time. It is very important that you contact Mrs. Clemens as soon as possible, as the Town of Edgewater may require that you attend a meeting of the Town's Planning Commission prior to your appearance before the Town Board. The Sawyer County Board of Appeals will hold the second hearing at 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 16, 2006, in the large courtroom located in the Sawyer County Courthouse. You or your representative should attend each hearing, especially the hearing conducted by the Sawyer County Board of Appeals. Only the Board of Appeals can grant the variance, the decision of the Town of Edgewater is advisory only. It is your responsibility to convince the Board of Appeals to grant the variance that you have requested. Therefore, you should consider using any means at your disposal (i.e., photographs, drawings, a good verbal presentation, etc.) as you present your facts to the Board.
